Akebono Sushi & Hibachi Reviews
Okay sushi, great service. They have an all you can eat menu with good kitchen food and some okay sushi options. We got the heartbreaker roll, seared tuna roll, Vegas roll, out of control roll, pink lady till and the Sakura roll. The tempura shrimp and crab in the rolls weren't crispy at all. And the seared tuna roll was supposed to have that both inside and on top of the roll, but there was only seared tuna on the top.Otherwise, service and ambience was great and ayce was $35, which is an average cost.
April 27 · Krisztina KovacsExcellent new Japanese All You Can Eat in Tarrytown! Nice and fast service, we went on a Sunday for lunch. Food was very good and super fresh! After Ichiro closed, this our newest favorite Japanese AYCE restaurant in Westchester, given them a try!
May 11 · Leonardo MaiaI will start by saying that if I came here by myself and other “big eaters”, this would easily be a 4.5 star review. But I came with the wife and kids and they were not happy customers. The biggest problem here is that almost every dish is heavily sauced, when it doesn’t need to be. Lightly sauced could be tolerable, but for a kid that enjoys the taste of salmon, he could not stomach the dish because it was swimming in sauce (dad pun ~ intended). Even the noodles had sauce that was too sweet. The only thing that the kids enjoyed from the Kids hibachi menu was the fried rice which had no sauce, just very nicely fried rice. Even the hibachi steak I ordered from the all you can eat menu had way too much sauce; I would recommend putting the sauce on the side so the customer can control how much sauce they will eat.The service was nice and the restaurant itself was neat and spaced out very well.Disclaimer: if you are looking for a full Hibachi experience, this place does not offer that. They cook the food Hibachi style in the kitchen, there is no chef that will cook the food at your table as they do not have Hibachi style tables for customers to dine around. Now on to the good. Their sushi rolls are excellent. If you order the all you can eat sushi rolls, they seem to be the same quality as the other rolls that are al la carte. I ordered about three different rolls (spicy bincho, something that had a wasabi sauce, and a yellowtail roll) and enjoyed each one. I also had the shrimp tempura which was light and fried perfectly. The green tea ice cream was also very good.If I were to come back knowing what to expect with others that can eat three-four rolls, this will be an excellent experience.
March 09 · Cybil SkarFood has good flavors, I’m obsessed with the avocado salad, servers are kind and move fast. I’ve visited two times and food was consistent which is what I look for.
February 13 · Jessica CepedaPresentation of the food was beautiful. The sushi was delicious and fresh. We chose the all you can and it was definitely worth the price. We will definitely return soon.
