Situated in a "hole-in-the-wall" style location, Arigatto Sushi provides a no-frills approach to Japanese cuisine, focusing on accessibility for local diners.
The concept of all-you-can-eat sushi can be appealing to many, allowing patrons to sample a wide range of rolls and nigiri without the typical per-piece cost. Arigatto Sushi endeavors to cater to this demand, aiming to be a place where locals can satisfy their sushi cravings without breaking the bank. It's often considered a spot that offers a predictable dining experience, where you know what to expect without major surprises.
While the goal of any AYCE establishment is to offer variety and value, customer experiences can vary widely depending on individual expectations and preferences. Arigatto Sushi is a place that aims to serve the community, providing a go-to spot for a quick and unpretentious sushi meal. For those who prioritize affordability and quantity in their sushi dining, it might fit the bill as a neighborhood option.
The culinary landscape in California is diverse, and sushi restaurants come in many forms, from high-end omakase experiences to casual, local eateries. Arigatto Sushi positions itself within the latter category, striving to be a practical choice for everyday dining for residents of La Habra and its surrounding areas. Its approach to serving sushi is centered around delivering a standard experience that is generally consistent with similar AYCE models.

Accessibility is a key factor for any local business, and Arigatto Sushi's location contributes to its role as a neighborhood eatery. The ease of access helps solidify its position as a go-to spot for a casual sushi outing, fitting into the daily routines of many Californians in the area.
Arigatto Sushi primarily focuses on its all-you-can-eat model, offering a range of services designed around this concept:
- All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) Sushi: The core offering, allowing customers to order multiple rounds of sushi and other select items for a fixed price.
- Dine-In Service: Providing a casual setting for customers to enjoy their meal on-site.
- Variety of Sushi Rolls: The AYCE menu typically includes a selection of standard and common sushi rolls.
- Nigiri Options: Basic nigiri selections are usually available as part of the all-you-can-eat offering.
- Takeout Options: While the primary focus is AYCE, some establishments may offer individual menu items for takeout, though this would likely be separate from the AYCE pricing.
Arigatto Sushi aims to provide specific features and highlights that define its dining experience:
- All-You-Can-Eat Model: This is the primary highlight, offering unlimited sushi and selected items for a set price, which can be appealing for those with larger appetites.
- "Hole-in-the-Wall" Style: Describes a casual, unpretentious atmosphere that prioritizes food over elaborate decor, often favored by those looking for a no-frills experience.
- Average Pricing: Positions itself as an affordable option for sushi, keeping prices competitive within the local market for AYCE.
- Not Usually Busy: This could be a highlight for those who prefer quieter dining environments or want to avoid long waits.
- Predictable Experience: Often described as a place that "won't surprise you but won't let you down," suggesting a consistent, albeit average, quality.
For specific promotions or special offers, it is always recommended to contact Arigatto Sushi directly. Given its all-you-can-eat model, the "promotion" is often built into the pricing structure itself, offering a fixed price for unlimited food. However, establishments may occasionally run lunch specials, weekday discounts, or holiday promotions. Locals interested in potential deals should inquire by phone or check for any posted information at the restaurant. Because the value of an AYCE model is subjective and depends on individual consumption, the pricing structure serves as its continuous offer rather than separate, limited-time promotions.

Arigatto Sushi Reviews
The food was pretty average for AYCE, it's a hole-in-the-wall style place. It's not usually that busy and the prices are just average as well. It's a good place to go that won't surprise you but won't let you down.
Apr 12, 2025 · Mr. EyeballWent here with my wife and had a terrible experience. The service was painfully slow, the sushi didn’t taste fresh, and some of it was actually warm which should never happen with raw fish. We waited forever between orders and when the food finally came, it looked like it had been sitting out.To make it worse, staff was rude when we politely asked about our missing items. At one point they even seemed annoyed we were ordering too much at an all you can eat place. Make it make sense.Definitely not worth the price or the stomachache afterward. There are way better sushi spots nearby. Save your time and money. Do not come here.
May 26, 2025 · Robert McDonaldAstounding, but not in a good way. I’m reluctant to write a bashful review for a family-owned restaurant, but the current reviews at a 4.4/5 do consumers an injustice. If you have ever had sushi, you would know this place should be closer to a 3/5.I did the AYCE sushi, thinking my worst-case scenario would be just “passing” sushi. I was wrong. For two people, the price for lunch was $74. This was also the first time I left AYCE sushi, while not hungry, without an appetite.Tempura - this was the final straw. The vegetable tempure was actually a mix of carrot and daikon/radish, similar to what you would find in a vietnamese restaurant. The tempura had a crispy exterior but was filled with batter and was mushy on the inside. Truly one of the worst. The gyoza was entirely deep fried, which I disliked too.Sushi - the sushi looks fairly decent in these photos, but be cautious. Generally, the fish was chewy, with a jerky consistency and overall was rather dry. This was the case for the tuna, seared tuna, and salmon. The hamachi was the only thing semi-palatable.If that wasn’t bad enough, some sushi selections came with unsolicited sauce. The sauce looks like grated daikon and has a slightly sweet taste. It’s not outright offensive, but I strongly disliked that it came without warning and on my nigiri.Rolls- terrible (flavor and selection). Most of the selections consist of fake crab, which feels really gross after a bite or two. The rolls themselves are made poorly—in a rush—and crumble upon any contact. But my biggest gripe was that every roll was plastered in sauce. Just bad.Service - service is why I am giving 2 stars. The entire place is served by this kid, who looks overwhelmed serving all the tables and 20+ people.Behind the sushi counter are two chefs. They occasionally serve dishes too. One looks the part with the white top and apron, while the other is wearing shorts and slides. The latter’s attire is entirely inappropriate for an employee, and it really didn’t help the appetite.
Sep 05, 2024 · OliverThis place is a kind of undiscovered gem. It's AYCE, but when you place an order at once, you can max out 10 orders. In fact, this allows you to continue to enjoy fresh food. Like some restaurants, they don't give you a lot of cheap food and make you feel full, but slowly bring you high-quality products.Everything was good, but I wish the staff were more friendly. It will bring them more tips, but they don't seem to know.
Aug 31, 2023 · James ChoiCame in with my girlfriend tonight for dinner. This place has the best service. Both people who waited on us were super nice and went out of their way to provide outstanding service. Food was great too, we did the AYCE menu and quality was really good l. Safe to say we will be back very soon.
