Nice place & good food. It’s def. a good spot if you’re on a lunch break. The service was very fast, there is a language barrier but that’s no problem. I rated it 4 stars because of the fast service & authenticity. The atmosphere lets you know it’s been part of town for a while - but it’s clean and that’s the most important. There’s also valet, so that’s was convenient.
Nov 27, 2024 · Glad.MAwon, located in LA's Koreatown, offers a delicious and fresh dining experience with a 30-year tradition. I ordered the Omakase Sushi Special and the Sashimi Dinner Set. Both were exceptional, with fresh ingredients and exquisite presentation. A must-visit spot for sushi lovers!

Fish tasted extremely fishy, it was chewy and not fresh. very disappointing as I have had good meals in the past. I did not feel good after my mealDecember 2024-the best selling sashimi salad is an amazing lunch. it's a mix of sashimi, rice lettuce and spicy sauce . it's HUGE i could not eat it all. Great light lunch with good value and quality. Could be split between 2-3 people
Apr 26, 2025 · violet dencklaThis place has a unique food choice on Japanese cuisine in a Korean style. I tried the best seller large sashimi salad which was quite a Korean food. It has a lot of salad leaves and some sashimi. Then it’s to be mixed with rice and gochujang sauce. It’s fresh and quite good. The bento and eel rice are pretty good too. The food is pretty fusion though, not very Japanese. Parking is valet only, $3 if I remember correctly.
Oct 15, 2024 · Fang PhatthaFood was good, don't get me wrong, but it's the service that was lacking. There was an incident when random guy came in barging into the restaurant cussing people out. I think he was dissatisfied with the service or something yelling and cussing the whole time making a commotion. They should have handled that better as the hall was full of customers and what if he had a weapon or something, scaring the other customers including my gf. No apologies or anything, actually forgot our Wasabi, ginger, and soup and etc., I understand it was chaotic, but for someone that paid little over $200 for two, they should've handled the situation better.
