Benihana is renowned for its authentic teppanyaki-style dining, where talented chefs entertain guests with their dazzling knife work and culinary artistry. It's a perfect spot for celebrating special occasions, enjoying a family dinner, or simply having a fun night out. Beyond the spectacle, the focus remains on fresh, high-quality ingredients, from perfectly grilled steaks and seafood to expertly prepared sushi. While the vibrant show is a major draw, Benihana also aims to provide a welcoming atmosphere and attentive service, ensuring every guest feels celebrated and well-cared for.
Benihana in the Florida region is conveniently located at 1665 NE 79th St. Causeway, North Bay Village, FL 33141, USA. This prime location places it right on the causeway, offering not only easy access but also, as highlighted by many patrons, stunning views, particularly at sunset. This includes a selection of fresh meats, seafood, and vegetables, cooked to perfection with entertaining culinary theatrics.

Benihana Reviews
I had an absolutely amazing time firstly they changed our times with ease as our schedule had slightly changed. From entering the premises the staff were extremely welcoming. a I celebrated my birthday here and they were so nice they sung happy birthday Im Wnglishand Japanese, our chef Shereka was absolutely outstanding. She gave us top standard entertainment while cooking our food from fresh. You can tell this is a passion of Shereka and it’s amazing to see somebody doing a job that they love. Our waitress Alexis was also so welcoming and kind. She was totally professional with an extra touch and also organised everything for us.Eric, who was not actually our waiter still made sure we was okay in the interim and was so warm and kind to us.To top it off, Belle was such a superb soul to be around. She even took our pictures and printed them off for us instantly which we was not expecting. The food was amazing well cooked and the premises including the WC was clean. (I’m OCD).As an early birthday present, attending this restaurant, I cannot give a higher recommendation to anybody who would like to join the amazing staff here. Many thanks again and kind regardsIeyeasha and daughter
Apr 29, 2025 · Ieyeasha CowardI would recommend this place for a beautiful Sunset view at dinner. Our server, Austin was very attentive and helpful and our drinks were the highlight of the night after the dazzling sunset.I highly recommend the Suntory Toki Old Fashioned. It was beautifully mixed and usually means they have a stable standard choice. The stunningly beautiful seasonal sweet heat Paloma was good, but a bit too sweet and light on the tequila.I'm TERRIBLE about not taking photos of the food before smashing, but I can absolutely recommend the FRIED RICE SUSHI ROLL. ***It's not what you think. I was fully expecting a regular fired tempura roll, but this was "fried rice" with yellowtail and tuna topped with a delicious black pepper sweet sauce....again too excited for photos, but I'll update next time. Smashed way too fast. It's a hidden gem at the bottom of the menu. The tofu was fairly good, but probably would have been better directly from the hibachi.
Apr 18, 2025 · Kenneth Ellison“Your yumyum sauce bowls sat empty. The best part of the meal—vanished before we even started!”Let’s start with the good stuff: If you’re looking for dinner with a view, Benihana North Bay Village has the location locked down. Waterfront seating, twinkling lights, and that breeze? Chef’s kiss. Now let’s talk about the food and experience—because while the views were five-star, the night came with a few hiccups (and I’m not just talking about the sizzle of the hibachi grill). We were a party of three and we all ordered the Deluxe Treat—filet mignon and a cold water lobster tail grilled with lemon. The filet? Incredibly tender and flavorful, but a touch too salty—like the chef might’ve had a breakup earlier that day and took it out on the seasoning. The lobster was nicely prepared , though I would’ve loved a bit more of that lemon to brighten it up.The fried rice was… fried rice. Not bad, not memorable. It did its job, but let’s just say it won’t be getting its own fan club anytime soon. Now, let’s talk about the real tragedy of the evening: Your yumyum sauce bowls sat empty. The best part of the meal—vanished before we even started! That sauce is practically a love language, and ours was missing in action. Not a drop to be found. It was like going to Disney and discovering Mickey took the night off.The service left a bit to be desired. We waited about 30 minutes for our table despite a reservation, and when we were seated at the hibachi table, it felt more “grab-and-go” than “dinner and a show.” Our drinks sat empty for a while, and the overall vibe from the staff was more “meh” than “welcome!”—a strange energy for a place that literally sets food on fire for fun. That said, the chef at our table was fun—classic tricks, a few jokes, and managed to entertain even when the service felt rushed.Overall? It’s a solid 3 stars for the ambiance and the filet alone. But next time, I’ll be calling ahead to reserve my yumyum sauce like it’s a VIP guest. Not rushing back—but if I do, I’ll bring my own sauce and a water pitcher.“Food that feeds the soul, beauty that speaks volumes, and travel that tells a story — always through the eyes of Italy Loves India.” Alyson Savino
Apr 11, 2025 · Alyson SavinoMy dad drove and treated us to Benihana for my birthday on a Monday night (3/3).It's been well over 20 years since I visited a Benihana or any type of hibachi. The last time I went was in Alaska, which was also on my birthday back then. (Can you believe Benihana survived all these years?!?)Anyway, our party included four adults and a toddler (her birthday was a week earlier). We did not have a wait to be seated. We sat around a grill with a couple who was also there celebrating a birthday. As with most restaurants, there was a high chair available upon request, and the toddler was provided with a sheet and crayons to color. I don't remember if the menu had children meals/portions.Key takeaways:- The food was good and plentiful; we all had leftovers. However, when the lobster was cooked, the grill should have been scraped off early since the burned remnants gave the lobster a burnt grill taste. The steak, mushrooms, and onions were all very flavorful, though- Service was good. As always, the cook was quite the entertainer.- The atmosphere was okay, but I don't like how smoky it gets. You leave with your hair and clothes smelling smoky, although the vents suck most of the smoke during the cooking process. After our meals, the staff brought out sorbet with a candle for each of use that were celebrating. The sang to us and made us feel special.Mandatory (free) valet parking (I'm sure the workers get tips, though). As it was a weekday, the restaurant was not crowded, and there were a lot of empty parking spaces. However, the parking lot was blocked off, and drivers were directed to the valet area.Overall, in my experience, Benihana has remained a timeless restaurant, and I recommend it for special occasions.
Mar 07, 2025 · Sandhya MarciaMost people have been to Benihana before, so no need to explain the food. But this location is wonderful because of the amazing scenery and vibes that it has. They also have a staff that is just amazing as the views. The manager Natalie was a perfect host in providing us a table when we wanted it. Jerson, the sushi chef was able to accommodate me with Hamachi jalapeño that is not even on the menu. Wesley, our chef at the table was superb and cooked the food to everyone’s taste. Just the way we wanted it. And lastly Claudia, Our server was even more amazing at Satisfying everyone. A truly amazing evening and would highly recommend this location in all of South Florida.
