Benihana Introduce
For locals in Nevada, especially those residing in or frequently visiting Las Vegas, a dining experience that combines delicious Japanese cuisine with captivating entertainment is always a win. Look no further than Benihana at the Fashion Show Mall on the iconic Las Vegas Strip. Benihana isn't just a restaurant; it's a "lively space" where your meal transforms into a theatrical performance right before your eyes. If you're seeking a fun, engaging, and flavorful outing, Benihana delivers an experience unlike any other, making it a celebrated choice for everything from casual dinners to special celebrations.
Benihana has long been synonymous with the art of teppanyaki, where highly skilled chefs showcase their culinary prowess and entertaining flair directly at your table. Every visit offers a slightly different, personalized show, as "each hibachi cook has his/her own flair." Beyond the impressive knife skills and onion volcanoes, the food itself is a highlight, consistently praised for being "delicious" with "amazing taste and flavor." Patrons rave about specific dishes like the "calamari appetizer," loved for its "texture and flavors," and note the overall quality of entrees. The service staff, like the celebrated Tammy, are described as "the best," "very attentive and personable," ensuring that "you were not waiting around at all, when you needed her she was there." While the portions to price ratio might be a consideration for some, the overall "fun" and memorable experience, combined with the excellent service, makes Benihana a cherished destination for many Las Vegas locals.
Benihana in Las Vegas is conveniently located at 3200 S Las Vegas Blvd Suite 1250, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA. This address places it squarely within the renowned Fashion Show Mall, a prime spot on the central Las Vegas Strip. Its location within a major shopping destination offers excellent accessibility for locals from various parts of the valley.
The Fashion Show Mall provides ample parking options, including multi-level garages, making it easy to park your car and access the restaurant. Being on the Strip, Benihana is also readily accessible via public transportation (such as the RTC bus system) and ride-sharing services, offering flexible options for getting to and from your dining experience. While the restaurant itself is described as a "lively space" with "not a lot of room to maneuver around" due to the communal hibachi tables, its integration into the Fashion Show Mall ensures a convenient and accessible visit, whether you're combining it with a shopping trip or making it your sole destination.
Benihana offers a distinctive Japanese dining experience centered around its interactive hibachi grills, complemented by a full menu of Japanese favorites:
Hibachi Table Dining: The signature experience, where guests are seated around a large teppanyaki grill and a skilled chef prepares their meal right in front of them, combining cooking with entertainment. This includes cooking various meats (steak, chicken, filet mignon), seafood (shrimp, scallops, lobster), and vegetables.
A La Carte Menu: Beyond the hibachi, Benihana offers a selection of appetizers, sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes. Popular appetizers include Edamame, Tuna Poke, Vegetable Tempura, Shrimp Tempura, Seared Tuna, and the highly praised Calamari appetizer.
Sushi and Sashimi: A variety of sushi rolls (like Dragon Roll, Rainbow Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, California Roll, Philadelphia Roll) and nigiri/sashimi options (tuna, salmon, snapper, yellowtail, shrimp, eel) are available.
Soup and Salads: The classic Benihana Onion Soup and Benihana Salad (with ginger dressing) are standard accompaniments to most hibachi entrees. Miso soup is also available.
Full Bar Service: A comprehensive selection of beverages, including sake, Japanese whiskies, beer, wine, and signature cocktails (such as Benihana Punch, Mai Tai, Cucumber Collins, and various Mojitos).
Lunch and Dinner Menus: Offering different selections and pricing for lunch and dinner, including special "Taste of Benihana" fixed-price menus.
Private and Group Dining: Benihana is well-suited for group celebrations like birthdays, anniversaries, or corporate functions, offering private and semi-private dining options at their teppanyaki tables.
Takeout and Catering: While the in-restaurant hibachi show is key, Benihana often provides takeout options for their dishes, and catering services for events.
Benihana stands out as a unique Japanese dining experience with several key features and highlights:
Interactive Hibachi Show: The primary draw is the live, tableside cooking entertainment. Skilled chefs perform dazzling knife work, comedic banter, and impressive culinary tricks (like the onion volcano) while preparing your meal. Each chef brings their "own flair," making every experience distinct.
Delicious and Flavorful Food: Despite the emphasis on entertainment, the food itself is consistently praised for being "delicious" with "amazing taste and flavor."
Exceptional Service: The service staff, like the lauded "Tammy," are frequently highlighted for being "excellent," "very attentive and personable," and ensuring guests don't experience long waits.
Family-Friendly Atmosphere: The engaging and interactive nature of the hibachi show makes Benihana a fantastic choice for families and groups, creating a memorable outing for all ages.
Popular Calamari Appetizer: A frequently mentioned favorite among reviewers, the calamari appetizer is noted for its enjoyable "texture and flavors."
Customizable Sauces and Flavors: The restaurant is accommodating to requests for various sauces and flavor adjustments, allowing for a personalized dining experience.
Happy Hour: Benihana offers a popular "$3, $6, $9 Happy Hour" available Monday-Friday from 3-6 pm in the sushi bar and lounge. This provides a more affordable way to enjoy select appetizers, sushi rolls, beer, wine, and cocktails.
"Be The Chef" Experience: For the ultimate interactive experience, Benihana offers "Be The Chef" packages where guests can learn teppanyaki skills from a master chef and then cook a meal for their friends and family.

There are also $12 and $35 options.
Taste of Benihana: A fixed-price menu often available, which typically includes a starter, appetizer, entrée, and dessert for a set price (e.g., $39 per person). Benihana Reviews
it is a lively space. not a lot of room to maneuver around. service is excellent. Each hibachi cook has his/her own flair. so the experience is a little different with each cook.portions to price ratio is a little small for the cost, but certainly tasty. They accommodate various sauces and flavors requested. I don't recommend those who have food allergies as the food is often. in close proximity to each other and using same cooking utensils. Not vegan friendly. Is quite fun. My favorite dish was the calamari appetizer. loved the texture and flavors
