such a cute spot! We ordered the party bombs and the special party bombs along with a couple rolls like the salmon stinky roll, the mixed mushroom roll, and the brussel sprout bomb. We also got the pork betty which was wonderfully delicious. the cocktails were so good, even my mom who is a cosmopolitan connoisseur loved her drink. The menus were QR code which I was unaware of, but they gave us paper menus upon request. Fish was fresh and well prepared. I especially loved that we were provided with both soy sauce and wasabi soy sauce. Recommend and will be coming back! - Anna K (annak_art)

Features / Highlights

Bozu has several compelling features that contribute to its popularity and unique appeal among New Yorkers.

These uniquely shaped sushi pieces (often described as round or larger than typical nigiri) come in various creative combinations, such as "party bombs" and "special party bombs," which include options like salmon stinky roll, mixed mushroom roll, and brussel sprout bomb. They offer a playful and delicious twist on traditional sushi.
  • Fresh Fish and Well-Prepared Dishes: Despite its innovative approach, Bozu doesn't compromise on the quality of its core ingredients. Customers consistently note that the "fish was fresh and well prepared," indicating a commitment to quality even with their unique presentations.

Promotions or Special Offers

While the provided reviews don't detail specific, ongoing daily promotions for Bozu, many restaurants in a dynamic city like New York frequently offer specials to attract and retain customers. Bozu's appeal often lies in its unique menu items and inviting atmosphere rather than deep discounts. However, it's worth noting the kinds of value propositions they might implicitly offer or have offered in the past:

  • Party Bomb Combinations: Their "Party Bombs" and "Special Party Bombs" themselves can be considered a form of special offer. These platters allow diners to sample a variety of their signature "sushi bombs" at a set price, offering a tasting experience that provides good value for a group or adventurous individual.
  • Lunch Specials: Many Japanese restaurants in NYC offer more affordable lunch specials. While not explicitly mentioned in reviews, it's a common practice to encourage midday patronage. New Yorkers could inquire if Bozu has any dedicated lunch deals.
  • Happy Hour: Given their noted cocktail program and bar area, Bozu might have happy hour specials on drinks and perhaps some appetizers. Checking their website or calling directly would be the best way to confirm any such offerings.
  • Seasonal or Chef's Specials: Restaurants often feature seasonal dishes or chef's specials that highlight fresh ingredients or new creations. While not a discount, these can represent a unique culinary experience that offers distinct value.
  • Online Ordering Platform Promotions: If Bozu partners with third-party delivery apps, these platforms sometimes offer their own promotions (e.g., first-time user discounts, free delivery over a certain order value) which customers can take advantage of.

For the most up-to-date information on any current promotions or special offers, New Yorkers are encouraged to visit Bozu's official website or contact them directly.
