Chotto Matte San Francisco Reviews
I love the ambiance, and the service is top-notch. I could not be any happier with the service and how they took care of us. Rosita is great, making sure we are all enjoying the experience.Their cocktails is a must try.The food although tasty, the portion is quite small. The outside seating is nice with a view of San francisco.
July 29 · Gelay SWent here for the new Sunday brunchWe ordered the wagyu truffle sliders, shrimp ceviche, and the Aji Tobanyaki. The Aji Tobanyaki sauce was out of this world. We dipped the sliders in the sauce and it was so good. They also had excellent live music that fit the rooftop vibe so well.We will be coming back for brunch and dinner
May 18 · RichardChotto Matte offers a unique rooftop dining experience in sf. starting with the pros, the service was absolutely amazing and the food was quite good. the restaurant is perfect for large groups doing celebratory events or business meetings. however, we found that the food was slightly overpriced. compared to other pricier restaurants in san francisco where food really WOWs you and feels very very unique, the food at chotto matte doesn’t impress in the same way. additionally, at other pricier places, the dining experience feels significantly more private or exclusive in very well decorated small establishments. at chotto matte, the server flexed how there were 5 kitchens and it felt like they were running more of an operation than a personal experience. we also wanted to tjme our orders so that we could spend lots of time at the restaurant but the server told us to order everything at once and then it will take time to roll out. however, all the food came out in 15 minutes at the same time. I will say that the miso cod was absolutely amazing and i would definitely recommend.
August 16 · Raj Vdrinks and atmosphere were amazing. the interior felt like I was transported to a bond movie scene. the food was also fantastic! we got the sharing plate option and it was well worth $100 each. each round was a flavor bomb after another. the drinks were also carefully crafted and conceptualized well in the menu. good concepts. we came on a Monday night without a reservation, so staff was doing their best despite the high amount of guests that came in, which we were informed was unusual for a Monday evening. the lighting is a little too dark for my liking -- a little bit more ambient lighting would have helped me read the menu better and see the plates better, as it seems there was immaculate detail put into the plating. the included dessert for the sharing menu was also overwhelming! there was a good selection of different types of dessert.
March 30 · Chloe MolinosI made a reservation for the Elements of Chotto lunch special. It did not disappoint! The food came out in big portions, I even had to ask for a to-go box! My boyfriend said everything was a 10/10 and that says a lot coming from a picky eater.Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. They made sure we were having the best of time. I highly recommend the Elements of Chotto lunch menu and their cocktails!
