Daimonji Sushi & Grill Introduce
In the bustling landscape of Seattle's culinary scene, where residents are always seeking reliable, high-quality dining options, **Daimonji Sushi & Grill** stands out as a true local gem. While its name might not immediately suggest a connection to healthcare, consider the context of a "Doctor Near Me" platform, which aims to provide essential local services. Just as a doctor provides care for your well-being, Daimonji Sushi & Grill caters to another fundamental aspect of life: nourishment and comfort through exceptional food. For those seeking a delicious and dependable meal, especially after a long day or for a celebratory occasion, finding a trustworthy restaurant is akin to finding a trusted professional. Daimonji Sushi & Grill, located at 5963 Corson Ave S #194, Seattle, WA 98108, USA, has cultivated a reputation for being exactly that—a consistently excellent choice for Japanese cuisine.
One of the most striking aspects of Daimonji Sushi & Grill, frequently highlighted by its loyal clientele, is its identity as a **no-frills, family-owned Japanese spot**. This family-centric approach often translates into meticulous attention to detail in every dish and a genuine warmth in service, creating an inviting atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
The restaurant has garnered significant popularity for its **takeout service**, making it a convenient option for those busy Seattleites on the go. However, many patrons, including long-time regulars, emphasize that the full Daimonji experience is best enjoyed by dining in, particularly at the **sushi bar**. This allows guests to witness the artistry of the sushi chefs firsthand, adding an interactive and engaging dimension to their meal. The interior, though it may appear smaller from the outside, is described as **nicely decorated** and extends back to provide ample seating, accommodating both intimate dinners and larger family gatherings. This thoughtful layout ensures that despite its popularity, guests can usually find a comfortable spot to enjoy their meal, whether they prefer the dynamic energy of the sushi bar or the relaxed ambiance of a table.
At the heart of Daimonji Sushi & Grill's appeal is its unwavering commitment to **freshness and quality seafood**. Customer reviews consistently praise the delightful and fresh nature of their ingredients. A key differentiator highlighted by regulars is the strict avoidance of imitation crab; Daimonji uses **only real crab**, a detail that speaks volumes about their dedication to authentic flavors and premium ingredients. This commitment extends beyond the sushi bar. While sushi is undoubtedly a major draw, Daimonji understands the diverse preferences of its clientele. For those who may not be sushi aficionados, the menu features a wide range of other beloved Japanese dishes, including savory **teriyaki**, comforting **noodles**, and rich **curries**. This extensive selection ensures that there is something to satisfy every palate, making it an ideal destination for groups with varied tastes.
Daimonji Sushi & Grill is also renowned for its dynamic culinary offerings. Patrons are encouraged to keep an eye on the **board with their ever-changing specials**. These specials introduce new and exciting dishes, often showcasing seasonal ingredients or unique preparations, providing a reason for even the most frequent diners to discover something new with each visit. Word among regulars suggests that **Thursday is when they receive their freshest fish**, making it an especially opportune day to visit for the ultimate sushi experience. This kind of insider knowledge, shared among the restaurant's dedicated fan base, underscores the sense of community and trust that Daimonji has built over the years.
Beyond the food itself, the **service and atmosphere** at Daimonji Sushi & Grill consistently receive high praise. Customers describe the people working there as "very nice" and the overall experience as "incredible." For many, Daimonji has become a cherished part of their family traditions, serving as the go-to place for **every birthday** and other special occasions. This long-standing relationship between the restaurant and its patrons is a testament to the consistent quality of both its food and its hospitality.
Another remarkable aspect of Daimonji Sushi & Grill, especially in today's fluctuating economic climate, is its **extremely consistent pricing**. Customers appreciate the restaurant's effort to maintain its prices without ever sacrificing the incredible quality of the food. This stability in pricing, combined with the high standard of ingredients and preparation, offers exceptional value for money. It allows diners to enjoy their favorite dishes without concerns about sudden price hikes, reinforcing their trust in the establishment.

Daimonji Sushi & Grill Reviews
If you’re looking for a no frills, family-owned, Japanese spot in Seattle, this is it! My partner and I are regulars of 8 years. It is very popular for take out but we prefer to sit at the sushi bar. Their seafood is fresh and delightful. There’s no imitation crab used here either—just the real deal. Be sure to check out the board with their ever changing specials. For non-sushi fans they also have teriyaki, noodles and curries.
January 05 · Richie D.literally the only sushi place for me. my family and i go there for every birthday, and the service, food, and atmosphere are always incredible. the people are very nice, and it is very nicely decorated inside. they have a sushi bar as well as tons of seating, even though it may look smaller from the outside, it extends back a ways. i love the wide range of dishes and the incredible quality of the food. their prices are extremely consistent and they make an effort to maintain them without sacrificing any quality. they have a lot of specials, usually a couple new ones every few days, but i’ve heard that thursday is when they get the freshest fish. i hope that you consider paying them a visit very soon, it is very worth it!
April 22 · toomanyzeroesI recently went to Daimonji for a large private event. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was incredibly welcoming. The sushi was out of this world—each roll was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. I will say, the tempura veggies were a standout 10/10 and the sashimi was melt-in-your-mouth perfection.I can't recommend this place enough for anyone craving authentic, delicious sushi. Stephanie, the owner, was incredibly attentive, friendly and very fun to have as a host. I’ll definitely be back!
January 08 · Drew JacksonExcellent little Japanese restaurant tucked away on the corner of a strip mall. We ordered take out right as they opened for dinner and the food was ready within 10 minutes. We had a craving for Katsu Curry and Gyoza. The Gyoza was probably a bit soft for what I was expecting (more like Steamed vs fried), but I like them either way…it’s just I was expecting it more fried. But the Curry was spot on. Cutlet was nice and crispy and the gravy went well with the rice.
July 20 · David BarberUpdate: I haven't been back in three years. The sashimi and black cod was very fresh and delicious. The tempura was served fresh out of the fryer it was excellent. We were seated right away and the service was excellent. We were served by the owner, she was very friendly and personable. We will definitely be back sooner this time.Three years ago:Visited on a Friday 5:30pm. Walked in and we were seated immediately. It was practically empty. We ordered fried oysters as an appetizer. They were delicious 5⭐ Three of us ordered the bento box, chicken cutlet with assorted sashimi and tempura. My Mom ordered the Sashimi plate. All bento boxes came with rice , salad and edamame. The bento was good but for $25 there should have been more. The same can be said about the assorted sashimi it was fresh and good but for $26 I expected more. I went to a restaurant in Santa Clarita last week and ordered the similar dish and it was $10 less. It's definitely not a value restaurant but it was close and we didn't have to wait to get in.
