Domo Japanese Country Food Restaurant Reviews
The place was amazing—it truly felt like being in Japan. The atmosphere, the garden, and all the decorations were beautiful. I only have one complaint that I mentioned to the waiter. I ordered sushi with shrimp, but I only received four shrimp on a large plate, even though I was told there would be seven. However, the overall experience was still wonderful.Another issue was that I left my glasses on the table, and despite leaving two messages, I haven’t received any response. I really need them to see well.Despite these issues, the place is truly stunning, and the atmosphere is unforgettable.

The outdoor gardens are absolutely magical, like stepping into a peaceful little village in Japan. I could have spent hours just wandering and soaking in the beauty before even getting to the food.Speaking of food—wow. Every bite was incredibly flavorful and felt genuinely authentic. I wasn’t sure what to order at first, but the team was so warm, welcoming, and happy to offer recommendations based on what I liked. You can tell they care deeply about what they do, and it really shines through in the dishes. The community vibe is also something special—everyone around us was smiling, chatting, and soaking up the atmosphere. It felt like we were all part of a shared experience, not just customers at a restaurant. If you’re looking for a spot that’s full of heart, flavor, and serenity—Domo is it. A Denver must-visit!They did mention that all parties need to be present before seating. We did not have a reservation for a Wednesday afternoon lunch but keep in mind if you are dining with family and friends. Enjoy! 😋
Apr 19, 2025 · Katie BrandlBest Japanese restaurant in Denver. Domo has an incredible atmosphere with authentic flavors and great prices. We came with 5 people in mid afternoon and the place was packed. Definitely worth the visit and will be coming back again. Katsu was fantastic, made me feel like I was in Japan.
Mar 09, 2025 · Quentin BongeThis place is super cool, unbelievably fun place to eat. Came in with a large ish party on a Friday at 6 and sat in the waiting area for our food. Service was swamped but nice and was super cool inside. The dinner portions are crazy big and super cheap for what you get. I love this place. Will be back more soon. Hours are odd though and not correct.
Jan 13, 2025 · John LaPresEdit: Was actually able to come here and it was good! Solid price for everything.
