Double Knot Reviews
This past weekend I went to Philly for a show and met up with my cousin who suggested Double Knot PHL because I wanted sushi for my birthday. Let me just say, this place was an amazing experience!!Our reservation was at five but we couldn’t be seated until our entire party arrived because we were going to be seated at the actual sushi bar. The entire place is speakeasy style, including the entrance. It is quite small and intimate and you are seated close together. However, when our reservation was ready, they took us down to what seemed like a hidden basement and we were sat at the sushi bar, just the three of us. The menu is mostly served a la carte and they serve for the amount of people in the party. This was some of the BEST sushi I’ve ever had. We started with duck scrapple bao buns and the big eye tuna roll. Some pictures below include wagyu soup dumplings, spice tuna rolls, octopus over rice, lobster & scallop warm salad, and crispy rice with spicy tuna. I can’t really speak for drinks but my uncle was very impressed that they had a bourbon at the bar that most places normally don’t have (sorry can’t remember).
Apr 22, 2025 · Briana RussoWe got the tasting menu and each dish was better than the last. We had so much fun trying everything and were blown away with the bursts of flavor in each dish. The wagyu dumplings and tuna tartare were our favorites. The drinks were made perfectly and accompanied the dishes nicely. Service was top notch and the vibes were immaculate. Parking can be a bit of a pain/pricey so plan accordingly. Happy dinning!!!
May 28, 2025 · David MackWe went there for happy hour—the prices were reasonable, and the food was delicious. We loved the atmosphere. The skewers were amazing, the shrimp taco was flavorful, and the chicken bao was tasty as well. Overall, we really enjoyed the place!
May 22, 2025 · Amirali10/10 dining experience here. We got a late reservation for Saturday night at 9:45 PM. Prompt seating, courteous staff, received our menus and drinks right away. Highly recommend booking a downstairs table vs the upstairs bar area for ambiance. The tasting menu was well worth the price. We shared one cocktail and the total bill including tax and tip was about $100 per person. Everything we ate was delicious, the scallops in particular blew us away. Dessert was also included. The food was more than enough for both of us and we even ended up taking some boxes home. I attached some photos, just keep in mind that these portion sizes are for two people. The only thing we slightly regretted ordering was the blue crab roll (rather bland) but it hardly impacted our experience overall. We will definitely be returning and getting the tasting menu again
Jan 06, 2025 · Rachel WongLove this place. Sat downstairs at the bar. Had a nice speakeasy vibe going. The bartender was very friendly and had great recommendations. The food was served extremely fast and fresh. Everything came out correctly. The drinks were delicious as well.
