Engawa Fusion Introduce
Tucked away on Stockton Blvd, Engawa Fusion is a delightful Japanese restaurant that has quickly become a beloved spot among locals in Sacramento. This eatery lives up to its name, seamlessly blending traditional Japanese flavors with innovative culinary creations. The atmosphere is described as "cozy and cute," providing a refreshing and comfortable space for diners. With its focus on unique dishes and a welcoming vibe, Engawa Fusion offers a memorable dining experience that feels both authentic and exciting. It's the kind of place you discover and immediately want to share with friends, a true hidden gem in the Sacramento area.
The menu at Engawa Fusion is a testament to its creative and delicious approach to Japanese food. The most talked-about item is undoubtedly the Sushi Tacos. These are not your average tacos; they feature a crispy, flavorful shell that holds together perfectly, filled with fresh ingredients and a generous amount of fish. The Taco Sake (salmon) and Taco Tuna are particularly praised, with customers calling them "to die for" and noting that they contain "more sushi than pretty much any roll you can get anywhere." The combination of fresh, succulent sushi and the crunchy taco shell is a unique and satisfying culinary adventure that keeps diners coming back.
While the sushi tacos are a major highlight, the restaurant's other offerings are just as compelling. The ramen menu, while some flavors may be a bit on the lighter side for some palates, still features fresh noodles and good ingredients. The Miso Ramen and Classic Ramen are popular choices. The portions are noted to be larger than in many other ramen spots, offering great value. For those who enjoy a bit of heat, the spicy noodles and ramen are highly recommended. The menu also includes a variety of comforting rice bowls, or Donburi, such as the Katsu Don and Gyu Don (Beef), which are perfect for a hearty meal. The Udon noodle soups, like the Curry Udon, also provide a warm and delicious option.
Engawa Fusion also boasts an impressive list of starters and a wide selection of specialty drinks. The chicken wings are a savory and slightly sweet side, while the Gyoza and Mix Tempura are classic choices done well. For those looking for something different, the Takoyaki (octopus balls) is a great appetizer. The drinks menu is extensive and features unique and delicious concoctions like Ube Taro Milk Tea, Strawberry Matcha, and the signature OKINAWA Milk Tea. These drinks are often praised for being just as flavorful as the food, providing a perfect complement to the meal. The atmosphere is casual, cozy, and trendy, making it an ideal spot for locals and small groups. The place seats a limited number of people, which adds to its intimate and special feel, so getting there early is often a good idea during peak hours.
The service at Engawa Fusion is frequently highlighted in customer reviews. The staff is described as "wonderful," with a welcoming and attentive demeanor. The food comes out "pretty quick," especially given that the kitchen is creating everything fresh to order. This combination of a unique menu, friendly service, and a cozy environment creates a highly enjoyable and satisfying dining experience. The restaurant is also well-suited for solo dining and for families, with high chairs available. Engawa Fusion is a must-visit for anyone in the Sacramento area looking for a new and exciting twist on Japanese cuisine.

Engawa Fusion Reviews
I went with a friend last month in May. We came before the late lunch rush came. It was super cozy and cute. The food was really good. The salad appetizer was okay, but the chicken wings were really savory. It also a nice sweet side.I got the dry noodle and it was soo good. Its also spicy so if you're not a spice person I wouldn't recommend. My friend got the ramen which was also spicy 👌🏻👌🏻.The sushi tacos was authentically pleasing but also very messy to eat so be careful.
June 20 · Julia Y (J.A.Y)Ok, first time here & we will be going back for sure!!! Ordered the taco sake (salmon) and taco tuna. These were to die for. More sushi than pretty much any roll you can get anywhere. The taco shells were amazing in crunch & flavor. The shells didn't just break when you took a bite like a cheap pre made shell, these held together. Both had rice at the bottom, then all the fixings on top of that and the fresh, succulent, flavorful sushi on top just amazing, and we can't wait to go back and try more. We also ordered the Miso Ramen. Now, we will not be going back for the ramen just because of the lack of flavor. The noodles were fresh, the pork was good, and so was most of the stuff inside. The bowl was larger than most ramen's, and the price was really good. The ground pork had no flavor at all. The broth was a bit too watery. Great broths are full of flavor and a little thicker. The egg was ok, but it could also have more flavor. We would say from our many experiences eatting ramen bowls in the states & in Japan, just a little more flavor & a bit thicker broth and you will steal the Ramen lovers from everywhere else in the greater area. Taste the broth at Fakumi ramen!!!! All the foods that were being served to other people looked amazing. So we are definitely going back and can't wait to taste the other foods on the menu. We are definitely sold just on the tacos alone. In the atmosphere of the place was refreshing. And the people working there were wonderful. The food came out pretty quick because we got there right when they opened and more than half a place filled up and we were last to order. The place only seats a maximum of 38 people. So happy days and hours you might want to get there a little bit earlier to get a parking spot and a table. Because this place, if the rest of the food is like the tacos and and full of flavor, I guarantee it's packed a lot.
May 31 · R SrWe came on Valentine’s Day and they have some cute roses on each table. Food is so good and service is also beyond. Recommend to everyone! Very good portions too. Got cute cookies too when checkout
February 15 · Shayne ChenzOne of the best ramen places I’ve ever been to. I really liked the cool, clean aesthetic—everything looked super neat and well put together. The vibe was chill but still felt kind of fancy in a good way. Service was awesome, and the food was seriously delicious. Honestly, some of the best ramen I’ve had. The whole experience was just great, and I’ll definitely be coming back again.
July 06 · Anna BuslovaSushi tacos great could be a little bit more intense flavoring. Great quality seafood. Best Udon!
