Fin Fusion Sushi Bar Introduce
Located at 2862 S Church St in Murfreesboro, TN, Fin Fusion Sushi Bar has established itself as a notable destination for Japanese cuisine, particularly for its highly-regarded sushi. Operating within the "Doctor Near Me" platform category, which highlights local services and goods, Fin Fusion offers a specialized culinary experience that caters to a discerning palate, providing a focused remedy for sushi cravings in the area.
While explicit descriptions of the interior decor and specific seating arrangements are not extensively detailed in the provided reviews, the atmosphere at Fin Fusion Sushi Bar is indirectly conveyed through the positive customer interactions. Patrons describe the family running the place as "kind, patient, and friendly," which suggests a warm and welcoming environment. This emphasis on hospitality implies a comfortable and approachable setting, where guests feel valued and at ease. Sushi bars often lean towards a clean, minimalist aesthetic, allowing the artistry of the food to take center stage. The focus on customer service suggests that the restaurant aims to create a pleasant dining experience beyond just the culinary offerings. While a large gathering might experience longer wait times, the general impression for smaller parties points towards a relaxed and accommodating atmosphere where the staff contributes significantly to the positive ambiance.
Fin Fusion Sushi Bar primarily serves as a dine-in establishment, inviting guests to experience their fresh sushi and other Japanese dishes directly at the restaurant. For those who prefer to enjoy their meals elsewhere, takeout is a convenient option, allowing customers to call ahead and pick up their orders. The restaurant can be reached at (615) 494-3442 or +1 615-494-3442 for inquiries or to place an order. While specific mention of third-party delivery services like DoorDash or Uber Eats is not provided in the given information, many modern restaurants operate with such partnerships. However, direct contact for takeout is confirmed. It's important for customers to note that for larger groups, specifically parties over 8 adults, Fin Fusion Sushi Bar applies a 20% gratuity before tax, a common practice in many dining establishments. This policy is an important consideration for groups planning to visit.
Fin Fusion Sushi Bar's most prominent feature and undeniable strength lies in its sushi offerings, which are consistently praised as some of the "best sushi in Murfreesboro." Customer reviews repeatedly highlight the exceptional freshness of their seafood, describing it as "never fishy or slimy." Key aspects of their sushi and other menu items include:
Exceptional Sushi Rolls: The restaurant offers a diverse selection of sushi rolls, with specific mentions of highly-rated options such as the baked salmon roll (recommended for sushi first-timers), cas roll, wasabi roll, and love me roll. Customers appreciate that the sushi rolls are generously flavored with sauce without being "drowning" and are prepared with fresh ingredients.
Perfectly Portioned Nigiri: The nigiri, including salmon, yellow tail, egg, and scallop, is noted for having a "perfect petite amount of rice," ensuring a balanced and enjoyable bite without being overwhelming. This attention to detail in the rice-to-fish ratio is a hallmark of quality sushi.
Freshness and Quality of Seafood: Across multiple reviews, the freshness of the seafood is consistently emphasized, making it a reliable choice for sushi enthusiasts seeking high-quality ingredients.
Other Japanese Dishes: While sushi is the clear highlight, Fin Fusion Sushi Bar also offers other Japanese staples such as fried rice and hibachi entrees. However, customer feedback regarding these items is mixed. Some reviews indicate that the shrimp fried rice portions might be small for the price, with shrimp cut into small pieces, and that hibachi entrees might also be smaller than expected and potentially not filling enough as a standalone meal. Therefore, while available, these dishes may be better suited as complementary items to a sushi-focused order.
Hot Sake: The restaurant offers hot sake, with one customer describing it as "OKAY" and "not as smooth," suggesting that while available, it might not be a primary draw compared to their sushi.
The culinary focus at Fin Fusion Sushi Bar is undoubtedly on delivering an outstanding sushi experience. The dedication to fresh ingredients and meticulous preparation of their sushi and nigiri clearly sets them apart in the local dining scene.
While specific ongoing discount promotions are not detailed in the provided information, Fin Fusion Sushi Bar's primary "promotion" comes from its reputation for superior sushi quality and exceptional freshness, which is a powerful draw for customers. The value proposition, especially for sushi lovers, appears to be very high. Customers are willing to travel a significant distance, as one reviewer did from Nashville, specifically for the sushi, indicating that the quality justifies the price for this particular offering. However, the value perception for other menu items like fried rice and hibachi should be considered by potential diners, as portion sizes for these items have been a point of concern for some. The restaurant's pricing for sushi is considered competitive given the high quality of the ingredients. The policy of adding a 20% gratuity for parties over 8 is a standard practice and should be factored into the total cost for larger groups. The consistent positive reviews for sushi and the friendly family running the establishment contribute significantly to word-of-mouth promotion, making it a well-known local gem for those seeking an authentic and fresh sushi experience in Murfreesboro.

Fin Fusion Sushi Bar Reviews
First time here and everything was excellent! Left to right we had the baked salmon roll (great for sushi first timers or people afraid of sushi), cas roll, wasabi roll, and love me roll. All of these were fresh, never fishy or slimy, and had enough sauce on top that it added flavor without drowning the sushi roll. Also had the salmon, yellow tail, egg and scallop nigiri which had a the perfect petite amount of rice without being an overwhelming bite. The family running the place was kind, patient, and friendly. Best sushi in Murfreesboro, without a doubt. Will be back often!
May 27, 2025 · Kylie KlemannI drove from nearly Nashville (35 mins) to try this place and there’s much to be said!!1) DO NOT ORDER THE FRIED RICE!!! I ordered my mother the shrimp fried rice and I was in disbelief that it came in a kids size bowl. For 14 dollars the shrimps were cut up into small pieces. It was the 1st time I’ve seen this!!!2) The hibachi entrees will be the smallest hibachis you’ll ever see!! Definitely won’t get you full if that’s all you order.3) Seriously, the safest and best things to order are the sushis and they are hands down some of the best sushis in town!!! Super fresh!!!4) I like to taste every Japanese restaurant hot sake in town. Theirs was OKAY. Not as smooth.5) We were 6 adults and the rest kids all under 7 years only and one teenager. They will add 20% gratuity for parties over 8. And it is added BEFORE tax.6) We waited closed to 1 hour for the food and there were only 3 other tables seated. Was it worth the 322 dollars that we spent? Probably yes if we only ordered sushi and didn’t come in a large group.
Aug 03, 2023 · Sarong Vit-KoryThis is one of my favorite sushi spots in town. It's always fresh, tasty, and just what I needed. I always make sure to bring someone who will share food because I never can pick just one roll! I usually go with one other person and order seaweed salad and 4 rolls. As I've been eating less, I get to take some home now! 😋😋😋Bringing your own to go containers is a good way to save your favorite local spot a few dollars, too. 🖤🖤🖤
Oct 01, 2021 · Mandy JohnsonCame here for lunch today for the first time. It is located in the middle of a strip mall. It seemed clean and inviting. The menu is quite extensive and if it's not on the menu they informed me they would gladly make just about any sushi I could dream up. So of course I did :-) Since it was our first time here we got a variety. We had the Fin Fusion special roll, the hurricane roll, a custom California roll, and one of the cooked rolls. The hurricane and fin roll were incredible. Fresh, chilled, and very tasty. Each roll complimented the other well and the portions were great. I'll be back.
Nov 08, 2021 · Doug AustinFin Fusion is a hidden gem located on South Church Street in Murfreesboro. If you've never been or never had QUALITY sushi, definitely try this place out! This isn't supermarket sushi, this sushi is the real deal and very reasonably priced. Yes it's a liitle more expensive than other sushi joints in town but you get what you pay for, quality. For sushi lovers this is a 'must try'. The fish is fresh, the atmosphere is very chill (perfect for date night), they have quite a large selection of imported wine, sake and beer and their sushi selection is enormous. I've yet to have a roll that I didn't enjoy. The hardest part is choosing what to order!I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED trying this restaurant. A+ in my book.
