The environment at Ginger Teriyaki II is consistently described as "homey" and welcoming, contributing significantly to its appeal. This warmth is largely attributed to the presence and hospitality of the "nice Korean couple running the show," often affectionately referred to as "sweet auntie and uncle." The atmosphere is not just about the physical space but the feeling of being cared for, which permeates the dining experience. While precise details about decor are not always outlined, the emphasis on this familial and comfortable feeling suggests a clean, unpretentious, and inviting setting. It’s the kind of place where patrons feel at ease, creating a sense of community and belonging that goes beyond just serving food. This homey feeling is a distinct characteristic that sets Ginger Teriyaki II apart, making it a comforting retreat for many customers.
Ginger Teriyaki II offers a focused yet satisfying menu of Japanese and Korean-inspired comfort foods, designed to cater to a variety of preferences with an emphasis on quality and portion size. Their core service revolves around classic teriyaki dishes, which are praised for having "great flavor." Notably, the Tofu Teriyaki is highlighted, with reviewers noting that the tofu is "fried perfectly." Another standout item is the Chicken Katsu, which customers have enthusiastically "demolished," appreciating its good flavor and the "solid" katsu sauce that balances sweetness and tang. Beyond these signature dishes, the menu also includes Fried Rice, which is consistently described as "seasoned perfectly." While the rice might be perceived as a "little dry" by some, this is often attributed to appealing to local demographics and preferences. The restaurant provides both dine-in and takeout options, ensuring flexibility for its patrons. The quick preparation of "hot food" is another key service feature, making it an ideal spot for those seeking a fast yet delicious meal.
The cuisine at Ginger Teriyaki II is characterized by its excellent flavor profiles and notably "insane portions." This combination of taste and generous serving sizes provides exceptional value to diners. The teriyaki sauce is consistently praised for its rich flavor, enhancing the main dishes. The preparation of the Tofu Teriyaki, with its perfectly fried tofu, showcases attention to detail and quality, even for non-meat options. The Chicken Katsu is a particular highlight, celebrated for its robust flavor and the accompanying katsu sauce, which strikes a delightful balance of sweet and tangy notes. The Fried Rice is another strong contender, recognized for its perfect seasoning, contributing to a well-rounded and satisfying meal. While the rice might have a slightly drier texture, this is understood within the context of local preferences. Furthermore, although salads are not the primary draw, the "good dressing" on them indicates a consistent quality even in supporting elements. The food generally reflects a blend of traditional Japanese techniques with a touch of Korean influence, reflecting the heritage of the owners, which adds a unique depth to the flavors and menu.
While Ginger Teriyaki II might not engage in overt promotional campaigns, its most powerful marketing tools are the consistently positive customer experiences and strong word-of-mouth recommendations. The recurring sentiment of "Wow so good!!" and "this place a winner" speaks volumes about the quality of the food. The "insane portions" are a significant draw, effectively promoting the value proposition to potential customers. However, the most impactful "promotional" aspect comes from the personal touch of the owners. The "nice Korean couple running the show," affectionately called "sweet auntie and uncle," create a genuinely "homey feeling" that resonates deeply with patrons. This personal connection fosters loyalty and encourages repeat visits, as customers feel a sense of warmth and familiarity. The direct and positive feedback regarding the staff – "the server was very nice!" – underscores the commitment to excellent customer service. This combination of delicious, generously portioned food, coupled with a warm and welcoming atmosphere provided by genuinely kind owners, acts as the most effective form of promotion. The simple yet profound "잘 먹겠습니다" (Jal Meokgesseumnida - "I will eat well," or "Thank you for the meal") from a customer perfectly encapsulates the appreciative and satisfying dining experience at Ginger Teriyaki II, making it a truly cherished local establishment.

Ginger Teriyaki II Reviews
Wow so good!! The tofu was fried perfectly and the teriyaki had great flavor with some insane portions! Fried rice was seasoned perfectly too
Mar 30, 2025 · Evan AbrassLoved the chicken katsu that I just demolished! The katsu had good flavor, katsu sauce is solid with a little sweetness and tang. Rice was a little dry, but we in Auburn, so i guess you got to appeal to the demographics. You don't come here for the salad although the dressing was good. The restaurant feels homey with a nice korean couple running the show. Overall, the food, homey feeling and sweet auntie and uncle makes this place a winner. 잘 먹겠습니다.
Mar 15, 2025 · M Brown (Mbrown0106)I ordered the C17 teriyaki chicken with a wok special. I decided on Mongolian beef.. it was good and fresh. I went back twice and this time will be the last time. The beef was old and tough. I hope you guys try to keep the quality up. Until then I am out.
Dec 04, 2024 · Bobby SixKillerLarge portions, clean, and so good. I wanted a broccoli dish and got the beef and broccoli. Wasn't sure if there would be just one or two pieces, but it was plenty. Basically served on a platter with a salad too. I also wanted to try the egg flower soup and it was good. I would recommend this location.
