April 19 · M.d. WashingtonFirst time at this location and it won’t be our last! Came here with a group of friends and we shared the 6 person feast and we could not get through it all. Hugh quality meats and service was SPECTACULAR! Our server was Monique and she was amazing. Fun, polite, and always seemed to be nearby when anyone needed something. I even ordered a drink that didnt quite taste the way I thought it would (and I really hate sending things back) she was so kind about it. Thank you, Monique! While there is no dedicated parking, it’s in the cherry creek area and there’s lots of little parking areas and street parking. Great location and we will be coming back!
March 23 · Tori BellingI love gyu kaku, especially their lunch options since I’m not always in a mood for AYCE.However, I feel like maybe either this location or gyu kakus meat in general is not as good as it used to be.We got the meat lovers course which contained 6 starters and 6 meats. We upgraded the white rice to beef sukiyaki bibimbap but the amount of rice wasn’t nearly enough and it was also very oily when you get to the bottom of the stone bowl. We didn’t upgrade any meats but it tasted like all the marinated meats were way too salty. We ended up getting full before finishing the rest of the course so we boxed the rest of the meat and also asked for the smores to go.Not sure if I’ll give this establishment a try again in the future since there’s plenty of other bbq spots I still need to try out. For now, my opinion of it is mid and I’d rather go elsewhere.
March 08 · Jenny LiuI’ve never been to a Japanese restaurant before, and I was blown away! I’m so glad there’s one in Austin, Texas. The food was delicious, and the sever was super friendly and helpful. I’d definitely recommend it! 10/10
May 16 · PhoenixThis place is amazing. Definitely worth the price if you come hungry. It is costly but the meat flavor is spot on. Great service and I would recommend reserving as it does get busy and it’s not that big. One of the better AYCE places.
