I came with one mission: to have a childhood sushi I haven't had in years: masago and quail egg. Many sushi places can't serve it because they don't keep quail egg in stock.I sat alone at the bar, which was very quiet, but had a great atmosphere. The sushi chef in front of me watched over the staff like a hawk to make sure when I needed something that I was taken care of ASAP (I assume a perk of the bar) .I started with a Sapporo beer with the sushi I came for and the chef made it perfectly. It's a strange combination to many, but to me it reminds me of home. I'm giving 5 stars because of the care this chef put into my sushi. I would recommend solely on his experience.I ordered the sashimi deluxe which I originally thought 24 pieces for 30$ might feel like a ripoff, but was pleasantly surprised with how full I felt at the end.For dessert, I ordered both the Yokan (jelly) and the fried green ice cream specifically for this review since I didn't see any pictures of them. The jelly was definitely interesting and unlike anything I've ordered before. The green tea ice cream was just as expected.I would recommend coming alone or with one other person, but I noticed that groups of four have a great time ordering sushi boats for a decent price between 70-100$ which is pretty good for long island at this time.Definitely coming again!Edit: Came again and ordered much more this time, added pictures! It was even better the second time. - Matthew Emerson

Promotions or Special Offers

Based on the available customer reviews, Hana Sushi doesn't explicitly advertise traditional, ongoing promotions like daily happy hour specials or percentage discounts. However, the restaurant offers value and "special offers" in other significant ways that greatly benefit its patrons, especially those dining in groups or seeking substantial meals.

One notable highlight is the value offered by their larger platters, particularly the "sashimi deluxe." While a customer initially thought 24 pieces for $30 might be pricey, they were "pleasantly surprised with how full I felt at the end." This indicates that the portion sizes are generous and provide excellent satiety for the cost, effectively acting as a value-driven option.

Another key "promotion" for groups is the availability of their sushi boats. These are highlighted as being "for a decent price between $70-$100," which is considered "pretty good for Long Island at this time." For parties of four, these boats represent a cost-effective and engaging way to enjoy a wide variety of sushi and sashimi, making group dining both affordable and fun. This effectively provides a group discount without being labeled as a traditional "promotion."

While specific limited-time deals aren't mentioned, the inherent value in their portioning and group dining options serves as a consistent draw for locals looking for a quality meal without breaking the bank. For the most current information on any seasonal specials or unadvertised offers, it is always recommended to directly contact Hana Sushi.
