Hibachi Time Food Truck Introduce
For us Floridians, especially in a dynamic city like Jacksonville, the food truck scene offers an exciting and often surprisingly delicious alternative to traditional brick-and-mortar restaurants. Hibachi Time Food Truck has truly made a name for itself in this mobile culinary landscape, delivering what many locals are calling some of the "best Asian food" they've ever tasted. This isn't just about convenience; it's about bringing the vibrant, savory flavors of Japanese hibachi directly to you, cooked fresh and served with a passion that shines through every dish.
Hibachi Time Food Truck specializes in sizzling hibachi entrees, expertly prepared with a blend of skill and flavor that has captivated a loyal following. While they might not be a traditional sit-down restaurant, their commitment to quality ingredients and delicious execution is evident. From perfectly seasoned fried rice and tender proteins like chicken, steak, and shrimp, to classic appetizers like egg rolls and cream cheese rangoons, every item on their menu is crafted to deliver a satisfying experience. Despite being a food truck, the taste often outweighs any perceived limitations, proving that big flavors can come from a mobile kitchen.
As a food truck, Hibachi Time Food Truck doesn't have a single fixed address, which is part of its charm and accessibility for the Jacksonville community. While their "official" address might be listed as 5960 Richard St, Jacksonville, FL 32216, USA, this is likely a base of operations or a mailing address, not where you'll typically find them serving food. The best way to track down Hibachi Time Food Truck's current location is to follow them on Instagram: @hibachi_time. Food trucks in Jacksonville often announce their daily or weekly schedule on social media, detailing where they'll be parked, whether it's at an apartment complex, a local event, or a popular public spot.
This mobile nature makes Hibachi Time incredibly accessible to various parts of Jacksonville, bringing delicious Japanese food directly to different neighborhoods. While there might be a short wait during busy periods (one reviewer mentioned "maybe 15 minutes" even with no line), customers often find the wait "totally worth it" for the fresh, hot food. The convenience of a food truck means you can grab a high-quality meal on the go, perfect for a quick lunch or an easy dinner.
Hibachi Time Food Truck focuses on delivering a streamlined and efficient service model typical of a mobile eatery:
- On-Site Food Service: They operate directly from their truck at various locations, offering a quick and convenient way to get freshly cooked hibachi and appetizers.
- Takeout/To-Go: All orders are inherently for takeout, designed to be enjoyed wherever you choose – whether that's at a nearby park, at your apartment, or back home.
- Mobile Ordering (Potential): While direct online ordering via a website isn't explicitly detailed, many modern food trucks use order screens or integrate with apps for a smoother ordering process. One review mentioned an "order screen," suggesting a technologically aided ordering system.
- Catering/Event Participation: Food trucks like Hibachi Time often participate in local events, festivals, and even provide catering for private parties or corporate gatherings, bringing their unique hibachi experience directly to your function. Inquiries for such services would typically go through their contact number or social media.
Hibachi Time Food Truck is renowned among locals for several compelling reasons, though it's important to acknowledge varied experiences:
- "Bangin'" Flavor Profile: A recurring theme in positive reviews is the exceptional taste. One customer declared the food "BANGIN'!!!!" and "hands down the best Asian food I’ve ever had." The food is described as tasting as good as it smells, with "everything slamming," including the sauces.
- Delicious Hibachi Entrees: Their core offering is hibachi, with popular choices including Chicken Hibachi, Chicken & Shrimp Hibachi, Steak & Shrimp Hibachi, and a Trio (Chicken, Steak, Shrimp) Hibachi. These dishes typically come with grilled vegetables and fried rice.
- Classic Asian Appetizers: Customers rave about their appetizers, specifically mentioning "egg rolls" and "cream cheese Rangoon" as being "slamming." Chicken sticks and mixed vegetables are also noted as excellent additions.
- High-Quality Ingredients & Preparation: Despite being a food truck, the emphasis is on freshly cooked items. "Everything he ordered tasted amazing," and the "sauce was good," suggesting attention to detail in seasoning and cooking.
- Picky-Eater Approved: One reviewer noted that their "husband is pretty picky and he loved everything," which speaks volumes about the broad appeal of their flavors.
- Unique Mobile Dining Experience: The very nature of a food truck provides a unique, convenient, and often exciting way to access high-quality Japanese food, bringing the restaurant experience to different locations across Jacksonville.
It's important to mention one critical review that contrasted sharply with the overwhelmingly positive feedback. This review described the experience as "soy-soaked disappointment" and implied poor value for the price paid, even referencing a comparison to a high-end experience that was not met. This suggests that while many find the food exceptional, individual experiences can vary, and perception of value might differ.
Food trucks, including Hibachi Time, typically rely on their daily presence and word-of-mouth for promotions rather than traditional, fixed specials. Their "special offer" is often the convenience and unique experience of delicious hibachi on the go. However, they may occasionally run informal promotions, combo deals, or loyalty incentives, especially when at larger events or specific venues. To stay informed about any potential discounts, new menu items, or special appearances, the most effective method for locals is to actively follow their social media channels, particularly their Instagram (@hibachi_time), where they would typically announce such details. Given their high praise for taste, the quality of their regular menu items often serves as its own promotion.

Hibachi Time Food Truck Reviews
I’m always skeptical of food trucks but it was my husband’s idea and I’m so glad because this food was BANGIN’!!!! This has to be hands down the best Asian food I’ve ever had. Everything he ordered tasted amazing. We got the fried rice, egg rolls, cream cheese Rangoon, chicken sticks, and he had the mixed vegetables. Everything slamming. Even the sauce was good. My husband is pretty picky and he loved everything. I could smell what they were cooking from my house and I will say it tastes like it smells. Not the biggest portion sizes but the taste outweighs any of that. They came to our apartment place and there was no line and the wait took maybe 15 minutes but it’s totally worth it. Only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the guy standing right in front of it where you order. Not sure if he was there to help or what because they do have an order screen but for those with social anxiety it’s a little off-putting. I’m just used to going straight to the window so for me it felt like pressure to hurry up and order.
May 17 · Kaitlynn KnightFor what I paid, Gordon Ramsay shouldve hand-fed me wagyu while complimenting my hair. Instead, I got a sad pile of soy-soaked disappointment
May 21 · Dmitry PristupaI never write reviews but my kids and I just ate some chicken and rice from this truck outside our apartment and all of our stomachs are hurting. The chicken was tough and the rice was not good. I would not recommend.
May 16 · Lana DixonGet there early on the weekends. Like a hour early. Don’t forget to order your juice. It’s sweet but it goes with the meal. It don’t matter what you order you will eat it all. It’s a food truck so you have too have some patience.
