Irashai Sushi Introduce
In the bustling urban landscape of Seattle, Washington, the common search for "Doctor Near Me" often extends beyond healthcare to encompass a wide array of local services that cater to our diverse needs and desires. For those seeking a specific culinary remedy, particularly in the realm of Japanese cuisine, Irashai Sushi, located at 2352 California Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98116, USA, presents itself as an option. You can contact them at (206) 582-2033 or via mobile at +1 206-582-2033.
Irashai Sushi is a Japanese restaurant that aims to provide a satisfying experience for sushi enthusiasts. However, an objective introduction necessitates a balanced view, considering both the overwhelmingly positive and significantly negative feedback provided by real customers. This approach is akin to a comprehensive medical assessment, where all symptoms and patient experiences are considered before forming a diagnosis. While one review hails it as a "true gem" and a favorite, another describes a severely disappointing experience, highlighting the variability that potential patrons might encounter.
The environment at Irashai Sushi is consistently described as "casual" and "laid-back." This atmosphere is a significant draw for many patrons who appreciate a relaxed dining setting that is "not uppity like many other sushi joints." This suggests a comfortable, unpretentious space where diners can feel at ease. It's the kind of place one might frequent regularly, rather than reserving for special, formal occasions. The emphasis on a casual environment implies that the focus is predominantly on the food and the overall relaxed experience, making it accessible and inviting for a broad range of customers. However, the mention of long wait times, particularly for takeout, can significantly impact the perceived comfort and convenience of the environment, especially for those who value efficiency.
The service at Irashai Sushi receives contrasting feedback. On the one hand, the "wait staff is incredibly kind," and a specific server, "Nomi," is praised for being "super friendly and attentive." This positive assessment highlights a dedication to customer care and a personal touch that fosters loyalty, making patrons feel valued and well-attended to. The quickness of the "kitchen staff" is also noted as "impressively quick," suggesting efficiency in food preparation once an order is actually started. This efficiency is a desirable trait for any service, including a "Doctor Near Me." However, the negative review paints a very different picture of service efficiency. The customer reported waiting "1 hour and 20 minutes for food to be ready," arriving "at the exact time" only to wait "another 30 minutes" with the food "not even started," and then being told to "wait another 30 minutes." This extreme discrepancy in wait times for cooked items suggests potential issues with order management or kitchen capacity, significantly impacting the customer experience. This variability in service is a critical point for objective consideration.
The features of Irashai Sushi's menu primarily revolve around its sushi and Japanese cooked dishes. The undisputed highlight, according to glowing reviews, is the "insanely fresh" fish. This is a paramount quality for any sushi establishment, and Irashai appears to excel in this regard, with sashimi that could potentially "melt in your mouth" (though sashimi wasn't explicitly ordered in the review, the freshness implies quality for such preparations). The praise for "Every roll I've tried here has been delicious" points to a consistent quality across their sushi offerings. Specific favorites include the "Superstar, Red Crunch, and Lady in Red" rolls, indicating creative and well-executed specialty rolls. The "otoro is also a must-try," suggesting a high-quality selection of premium tuna belly, a delicacy for sushi aficionados. This focus on fresh, delicious, and well-crafted sushi is a significant feature that draws in and retains a loyal customer base.
However, the negative review highlights a critical flaw in the execution of cooked dishes. The "chicken" was described as "burnt on the outside and undercooked inside. Disgusting." This extreme quality control issue with a cooked item led to a complete rejection of the food. This feedback suggests that while their sushi may be excellent, the quality and consistency of their kitchen-prepared dishes might be a significant area for improvement. This distinction is crucial for an objective assessment, as customers seeking a "Doctor Near Me" for a Japanese meal might have varied preferences for sushi versus cooked items.
Regarding promotional information, no specific discount offers, loyalty programs, or direct marketing campaigns were provided in the reviews. The most powerful form of promotion for Irashai Sushi comes from its strong positive word-of-mouth. Being lauded as "hands down my favorite sushi spot in Seattle" and a "true gem" by regular patrons ("me and my boyfriend go at least once a month") is an invaluable form of endorsement. This indicates that for many, the consistent quality of the sushi and the friendly service outweigh any potential drawbacks. The mention of specific delicious rolls like the Superstar, Red Crunch, and Lady in Red, and the recommendation for otoro, serve as informal promotions by highlighting popular and successful menu items. While the negative review about cooked food quality and extensive wait times acts as a significant counter-promotion, the overall volume of positive sentiment from dedicated customers seems to indicate a strong, loyal following, possibly due to the exceptional sushi quality when it's prepared well and efficiently.
In conclusion, Irashai Sushi in Seattle, WA, presents itself as a compelling "Doctor Near Me" for sushi lovers seeking incredibly fresh fish and a casual dining atmosphere. Its strengths lie in the "insanely fresh" ingredients, a wide array of "delicious" and creative sushi rolls, and the kind and attentive wait staff, particularly Nomi. This makes it a monthly favorite for many patrons. However, an objective view must acknowledge significant concerns raised by one customer regarding extreme wait times for takeout orders and severe quality issues with cooked dishes, specifically burnt yet undercooked chicken. While the sushi experience is highly praised, the restaurant's consistency across its entire menu, particularly for non-sushi items, and its ability to manage takeout order volume and wait times, appear to be areas of variability. For those prioritizing fresh, delicious sushi in a relaxed setting, Irashai has the potential to deliver an "unforgettable" experience, but patrons should be mindful of potential service delays or quality issues with cooked non-sushi items, especially during peak times.

Irashai Sushi Reviews
I had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes for food to be ready. Arrived at the exact time. I waited in line another 30 minutes, and the food had not even started. I was told to wait another 30 minutes for food. Somehow, they cooked it under 15 minutes (2 boxes and 1 sushi). Threw away almost all the chicken - burnt on the outside and undercooked inside. Disgusting. It was the worst experience ever. I hope I won't throw up tonight.
Feb 15, 2025 · Taras SavkaIrashai is hands down my favorite sushi spot in Seattle! The fish is insanely fresh, and the kitchen staff is impressively quick. I love this place so much that me and my boyfriend go at least once a month. The wait staff is incredibly kind, and we've had the pleasure of getting to know Nomi, she's super friendly and attentive! Every roll I've tried here has been delicious, but a few favorites that stand out are the Superstar, Red Crunch, and Lady in Red. The otoro is also a must-try! What I really appreciate is the casual, laid-back atmosphere—it's not uppity like many other sushi joints. Irashai is a true gem!
Aug 30, 2024 · Lauren MocolIrashai is a super cozy, quaint spot with delectable sushi, appetizers, and bento boxes. Is nothing fancy, but teleported me to a homey place with ambient lighting and soft music playing in the background. The sushi was delicious but my favorite was the takoyaki and the fried oysters. We were very full after ordering two appetizers and four rolls. Next time we’ll just order three rolls for two people. The servers were really nice and attentive 10 out of 10.Overall, I’m super stoked to come back and I can’t wait to have more.
Sep 05, 2024 · Dari BOrdered take out to try this place and the sushi was incredible! Tried the Dragon Rolls with eel and wow, delicious! Found my new Sushi place as a new resident to the area. Look forward to trying other rolls and sashimi. Highly recommend!
May 19, 2025 · Michael JosephTDLR: great sushi at a decent price and fast serviceWe came in for a very early dinner and were seated at the table right away. By the time it was 5:30, there were already people on the waitlist.Between the two of us we ordered 4 sushi rolls and 1 egg roll. It might have been too much in the end given that their rolls are massive.Sushi rolls : cucumber maki, vegan dragon roll, irashai roll, double double roll. All of them were really good and the fish was fresh. The price to quality ratio is really quite superb here.
