Izakaya Sasaya 居酒屋楽楽家 Reviews
I came here with a group of friends and was treated exceptionally well while enjoying great food. The prices and service are very good. We enjoyed a pitcher of Sapporo, a sushi roll, takoyaki, a massive croquette, and an awesome fried nagaimo dish. I loved the cozy, private vibe. This place is truly a gem and I highly recommend it. Will be back for sure.
March 09 · Kade FreemanWe went for late dinner, it wasn't that crowded and we sat right away. We noticed the ipad on the table, thought it was pretty cool, so started to browse the menu, but the ipad was a little slow and non responsive. The food came fast, and the tech and vibe are pretty cool.
December 24 · Tony KimI’ve been coming here for over 15 years. While the format of the seating has changed a lot (especially since the pandemic) and I’m not the biggest fan of the current setup (too many walls blocking everything, the tablets never work properly), the food is still solid. Try the miso black cod, crispy salmon skin salad, crispy rice with spicy tuna, or mental butter udon.
March 14 · S KimHot dishes are good and comfy, the chicken skewer was really great. Yes, the space is a bit rundown but honestly I think that’s a vibe. It’s charming. They did change the space since I last came here, though. I prefer how it was before, more open. Like this is good for romantic dates or meetings because there’s privacy. I wish they had the servers come in and talk to you though instead of just ordering everything on a tablet.
September 05 · Martina MattarThis place always has some of the best and most authentic Japanese food whenever I order from here. The chicken karaage is so good. The grilled skewer meat selection is amazing. The chicken katsu and rotating specials have never disappointed either.I have come back here at least half a dozen times in the past year. First of all. The atmosphere is as authentic as it gets for a little Izakaya. Tall backed booths that give you a sense of privacy in the small space. I love the screen ordering method. The skewers are great the udon dishes are delicious. I can’t say enough good things about this place. People who don’t like this place are cheap, don’t understand what the atmosphere of an izakaya is like, and want their asses to be kissed by serving staff. Look at the bad reviewers themselves. They frequently have less than 10 total reviews of any place and most of those are negative. These are just miserable people so consider the source.
