I came here for lunch to see if the low rating was warranted. I’d say the current average rating doesn’t reflect the quality at all. The most recent reviews were definitely stale too.When I came for lunch on a tuesday, the selection at the conveyor belt was huge. They had a bit of everything laid out. I had a few rolls and a few nigiris. They were flavorful. I’d say the taste is pretty standard for sushi. The sushi rice could use a bit more seasoning/vinegar but it’s not bad at all. The things i tried were pretty good. Nothing amazing but i’d say I had a good dining experience.You can order special items from the touchpad as well. My nigiri took a few minutes (like maybe 3-5 mins?) to arrive but honestly, it wasn’t too bad as there were plenty of other options going around on the belt.The staff was friendly and accommodating. They were ready to help me out with any questions I had.Overall, I’d say this was a pretty good sushi restaurant. Definitely won’t cross off my list of to revisit restaurants whenever I visit Serramonte Mall again. If you’re craving some good sushi, give Izumi sushi a try!

It's a shame I like the food here. I have been here about 5 times... today I finally ordered the deep fried California roll and deep fried tuna roll. All the other food i ordered came quick but the deep fried sushi took forever. I asked a worker if she can follow up with my order and she said it takes 20 minutes for the deep fried sushi to make I said ok even though I waited for over 20 minutes already. After asking another worker there to follow up with my order it finally came... over 30 minutes from my initial order. The deep fried sushi was cold and I asked one of the workers that it was cold and take it back and take it out of my bill because I will not pay for it. Another worker came back with the same food and said that their automated train brought it out twice... I told her you have cameras here show me the footage that it was sent out... she kept her mouth shut and walked away with the cold deep fried sushi. Management of Izumi I hope you are reading this... one of your employee is a liar... I like your food but will mostly will not come back after my experience today.

Went for Labor Day and the wait was not entirely bad, 25 minutes for 3 people. What I did not enjoy is not having clear instructions on how to check in if you choose to do indoor dining. What you do is swim around the groups of people WHO HAVE A SMALL RECEIPT and get to the register. To them you ask to dine in and you'll receive a number. You can also download the Dinfo App* and reserve there, but I cannot confirm if they treat those wait-list equally than if you got it in person.*Using the Dinfo App to track your own paper receipt did not work whatsoever, neither phone number/ticket number/scan (there's no QR code)Once you finally get in and get the food: food is good as a conveyer belt sushi establishment. But getting custom orders from the train takes eon in a busy environment. For one thing we didn't get it till 20 minutes to half hour later. But again, key word, busy.
