Japanese Cuisine Towa Introduce
Japanese Cuisine Towa, located at 17875 Redmond Way #144, Redmond, WA 98052, USA, is an esteemed Japanese restaurant that has quickly established itself as a true "hidden gem" within the Redmond culinary scene. In the context of a platform like "Doctor Near Me," while it does not offer medical services, it represents a high-caliber local establishment providing specialized, premium goods and services in the form of an exceptional dining experience. For local users seeking the finest in Japanese cuisine and a memorable culinary journey, Towa is a standout option, often discovered through word-of-mouth and glowing reviews.
The environment at Japanese Cuisine Towa is designed to provide an intimate and engaging dining experience, particularly emphasized by the "reserved seating at the bar table." This setup allows diners to "see how the food was prepared," transforming the meal into a captivating culinary theater. This close proximity to the kitchen and the chefs, especially with Chef Morita at the helm, enhances the appreciation for the "delicately prepared" dishes and the "perfect execution" of each course. The ambiance is described as contributing to an overall sense of mindfulness and appreciation for the ingredients and the artistry involved. The atmosphere is clearly geared towards a focused and refined dining experience, ideal for special occasions such as birthday dinners with family, where the focus is on the food and the craft. While it is a "hidden gem," this suggests an intentional, perhaps understated, exterior that belies the exquisite experience within.
The service at Japanese Cuisine Towa is consistently praised for its professionalism and attentiveness. Chef Morita is a central figure in this, described as "friendly" and someone who "gracefully cooks and serves each guest with perfect timing." This personalized attention from the chef himself, combined with his culinary skill, creates a highly memorable and engaging interaction for diners. The efficiency and precision in serving "each guest with perfect timing" are critical for a multi-course dining experience like kaiseki, ensuring that each dish is enjoyed at its peak.
Beyond Chef Morita, "other staff are professional," indicating a cohesive team dedicated to providing high-quality service. This professional and graceful service contributes significantly to the overall enjoyment of the meal, allowing diners to relax and immerse themselves in the culinary journey.
However, there was one specific area for potential service improvement noted regarding the sake flight. A customer expressed that while they "originally want to open a bottle of sake" but found the "selection is limited," they "opt for the 5 sake flight." The feedback stated, "Sake flight could be improved as I did not expect three cold and 1 hot sake served at the same time. I expect each sake will specifically pair with the dish(es), not me exploring what could go with each dish, or a clear direction which one should start from." This suggests an opportunity to enhance the sake pairing experience, perhaps by offering more curated recommendations or a different serving approach for the flight, to match the meticulousness seen in the food preparation. Despite this specific point, the overarching sentiment regarding service remains highly positive due to the professionalism and personal touch from Chef Morita and his team.
Japanese Cuisine Towa specializes in a "well balanced kaiseki," which is a traditional multi-course Japanese dinner. This focus on kaiseki means diners can expect a carefully curated progression of dishes, featuring a "good combination of fish, meat and vegetables." Every element, including the "dessert," is described as "delicately prepared and delicious," underscoring the high level of culinary artistry and attention to detail.
A key feature of Towa's offering is its commitment to "different seasonal ingredients." This implies a dynamic menu that evolves with the seasons, ensuring freshness and variety for repeat customers. This dedication to seasonality is a hallmark of authentic Japanese fine dining and allows Chef Morita to showcase the best produce and seafood available.
Specific dishes that received high praise include:
- Kaiseki Menu: The overall kaiseki experience is lauded for its balance, delicate preparation, and deliciousness across all courses.
- "All dishes are delicious": A general sentiment affirming the consistent quality across the entire menu.
- Rice Dish: Notably, their rice dish "can be ordered for to go," indicating a popular and versatile item, even if enjoyed outside the full dining experience.
The emphasis on "mindfulness of ingredients selection, delicated preparation and perfect execution" truly encapsulates the essence of Towa's culinary philosophy. This meticulous approach to every aspect of the meal ensures a truly elevated dining experience that engages all the senses. The ability to witness this preparation firsthand from the bar seating further enhances the appreciation for the craft involved.
Japanese Cuisine Towa's primary promotional strength comes from its reputation as a "highly recommend" establishment and its status as a "hidden gem." The fact that customers "will be coming back for their different seasonal ingredients" signifies a strong repeat business and a loyal clientele who value the evolving menu and consistent quality.
The use of phrases like "must visit" and the enthusiastic endorsements from customers who have celebrated special occasions there, such as "Birthday dinner with family," serve as powerful word-of-mouth marketing. In the context of a "Doctor Near Me" platform, this translates into a strong recommendation for discerning local users seeking premium and unique culinary experiences. The need for reservations, especially for bar seating, also subtly promotes its exclusivity and popularity, creating a sense of anticipation and desirability among potential diners. The combination of an exquisite culinary experience, professional service, and an intimate setting ensures that Japanese Cuisine Towa continues to attract and delight patrons, solidifying its place as a top-tier Japanese dining destination in Redmond.

Japanese Cuisine Towa Reviews
A little hidden gem in Redmond. Reserved seating at the bar table so we got to see how the food was prepared. A well balanced kaiseki with a good combination of fish, meat and vegetables. Everything is delicately prepared and delicious including the dessert. Will be coming back for their different seasonal ingredients. Highly recommend this and their rice dish can be ordered for to go.

May 20, 2024 · Angela LeungIncredible experience - we reserved the November bar seating for our anniversary, and every dish was both beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. Eating at the bar was especially unique, as we could watch the chef make everything right in front of us! We also really liked the 3 Sake flight. A great place for kaiseki on the east side.
Nov 11, 2024 · Ben GauthierHad a great time at Towa! We sat at the bar and had the 8 course mid tier meal. The sashimi course was one of our favorites (can’t go wrong with quality bluefin tuna), but the other dishes were delicious as well! Chef was also very attentive and nice, adding to the bar experience. Would recommend if you’re someone who loves variety in a meal!
Jun 01, 2025 · Bobo LiuKitchen dishes were either too salty/dry or too bland.- The snapper dish was way too salty with the sauce;- The the clam rice had no taste.- The miso soup was worse than a regular sushi restaurant- The pork and taro dish didn’t impress either- Asked for ginger (standard Japanese food compliment to Sushi) and literally got served freshly cut raw ginger that wasn’t edible.Pretty much one of the few occasions where I had leftovers in my Kaiseki dishes.Overall not worth the price, presentation was a pass, taste was unsatisfactory, ingredients were mediocre.By last few courses I wanted to finish the meal asap and leave. When I got the check I was surprised to see 20% service fee already added (this is okay by itself) AND there was another “suggested gratuity” of 20% tips totaling 40% of the total price. We had to clarify why it was “suggested” to add another 20% tips on top of the service charge that was automatically collected.Would not recommend beyond the first try.
