Jin Shabu Reviews
We went for AYCE lunch. It’s a big place with plenty of tables. I like the curtains between each table, makes it feel private. The waitress was really nice.We got the 2 brisket and eye roll only because if you don’t eat every meat you order they charge you for what’s left so we were pacing ourselves. And it was plenty, probably could have started out with 3 servings instead. There was of course other meats we could have asked for included in the price like chicken or beef belly but it would have been too much.We also got a bunch of veggies from the buffet. I love mushrooms so loaded my plate up with that. I wasn’t crazy about the fish and shrimp cakes, they tasted super super fishy. Also mushrooms were fresh except the shiitake were dried which made them very chewy when cooked. The broths were flavorful but not overpowering. And it was so easy to cook your own food! I like the experience, I left very full.
May 31 · MarisaAmazing choices of meat, seafood was super fresh (the blue crab was meaty and tasted amazing), veggies were amazing, so many healthy choices. The price is so reasonable! atmosphere was cozy and perfect. The service was great. We had such a great time.
March 13 · Anh KhaI recently visited your restaurant again after some time, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.I understand that Memorial Day pricing meant dinner rates applied all day, and I was fine with that. However, the quality of the broth was noticeably lacking in flavor and felt rushed or careless. More concerning was the number of flies inside the dining area—particularly on the windows—which made the atmosphere feel unhygienic and uncomfortable.Additionally, our server did not check in with our table regularly, so we had to get up and approach the staff each time we needed something. For the price we paid, the service and overall experience were well below expectations.I’m sharing this feedback in the hope that improvements can be made, as I had previously enjoyed dining at your establishment.
May 27 · Jen LeeJin Shabu Review: A Carnivore's Paradise with a Side of ZenNestled in the heart of Chandler, AZ, Jin Shabu is where the art of shabu-shabu meets the spirit of communal dining. If you're a meat lover, this place is your Mecca. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by the sight of thinly sliced beef, marbled to perfection, laid out like edible art on black platters. The Meat:The beef selection is a feast for the eyes and the palate. Each slice promises a melt-in-your-mouth experience, with just the right amount of fat to ensure every bite is juicy and flavorful. It's like they've managed to capture the essence of steak in a form so delicate, you'd think it was crafted by a sushi master. The Broth:The broths are where things get interesting. You can choose from a variety of bases, from the traditional clear broth to a spicy miso that'll wake up your taste buds. Each pot arrives with a wooden lid, reminiscent of a Japanese hot spring bath, keeping your meal warm and inviting. The Sides:The sides are an adventure in themselves. A bowl of rice with a hint of seasoning, a plate of veggies including enoki mushrooms, cabbage, and tofu, all waiting to be dipped into your bubbling broth. And let's not forget the dumplings, little pockets of joy that add a comforting touch to your meal. The Ambiance:The setting is minimalist yet warm, with wooden tables and modern decor that make you feel like you're in a chic, yet cozy eatery in Tokyo. It's perfect for both a romantic date or a lively gathering with friends. The Verdict:Jin Shabu isn't just about eating; it's about experiencing food in a communal, almost ritualistic manner. It's where the simplicity of ingredients meets the complexity of flavors, all simmering together in a pot of love. If you're in Chandler and craving something beyond the usual, Jin Shabu is your go-to for a dining experience that's both intimate and indulgent. Just remember, here, patience is a virtue – the slow cook of shabu-shabu rewards those who wait.Rating:If I had to rate this experience, I'd give it a solid 4.5 out of 5 hot pots. The only reason it's not a perfect score? Because perfection is an ever-moving target, and Jin Shabu keeps you coming back to chase it.
January 04 · Andrew SawyerMade it in just before six and beat the rush. The variety of items to add to your hot pot is great. The items are fresh and restocked quickly. The meats were really good and service was excellent. Many different sauces to choose from, the chili oil and peanut sauces were great in flavor. Will definitely go back.
