Genuinely appreciated the vibes of this place upon walking in. The front person was super friendly! It was my first time going and she graciously answered all my questions and explained what everything was. I was quite impressed with the portion of a small. For me, it was enough for two meals. I quite enjoyed walking through the process of making the bowl and picking out the ingredients that were in front of me. Overall, very happy with the freshness and taste as well as the vibes and customer service. The only thing that sucks is the parking, depending on the time of day.

However, on my recent visit on March 28th, 2025, at approximately 6:30 PM, I experienced some issues with the service. The young man behind the counter made minimal eye contact, his tone was curt, and he sighed audibly when asked a question. He also seemed visibly frustrated while taking a phone order. While I understand that working in customer service can be challenging, the employee's demeanor made me feel unwelcome and significantly detracted from the overall dining experience. As a frequent Joy Teriyaki & Poke customer for several years, I've generally had positive experiences. I usually love this place but today I ordered right as they opened and the "salad" was almost completely rotten and the chicken was under cooked. The salad is actually just lettuce.I hope you use this review as a learning tool because I would like to continue to come here but not at the risk of food poisoning.
