Kamehachi

Japanese restaurant, Asian restaurant ★4.0 (125)·$30–50

1531 N Wells St, Chicago, IL 60610, USA

4.0
Ordered wine and the glass had lip stains on it. And the Food was simply not good. The sushi and nigiri combo costs about 50 bucks and was poorly made. Shrimp was chewy and fishy and the fish was cut far too thick (pictured- yes that’s the side view) and was served on ice which in my humble opinion is not ideal. Plus the rice was stale, AND the wasabi was dry and look aged. Nothing was fresh. They comped the wine and gave us 10 percent off the sushi but then gaslit us about the food and told us how long they’ve been at this location. Absolutely nothing against the people but if you want to spend a lot of money on good food go elsewhere. - Quincy Sandbank
