KANE Reviews
I got their omakase, and for 15 pieces, it was $150. I have to say that their sushi is extremely fresh and high quality. The chef told me to try and eat it in one bite but most of the time, I need three bites to finish. It was very filling and so delicious. I even got their matcha tiramisu which I highly recommend. It’s actually have a strong green tea flavor which I love but was still creamy. I highly recommend everyone to try omakase with them and you won’t regret it!
May 16 · tina doI love the customer service and the atmosphere! If you sit at the chef's table, it's like getting omakase service! The head chef is so nice and friendly. All the sushi comes out nice and fresh, and really quick. I almost wish they took their time a bit, so we could just sit there and enjoy ourselves. With that all said, i noticed a couple of things. Sushi is supposed to be bite-sized, but here you kind of get huge bites, sometimes a bit on the sloppy side. So if you are paying a high price for sushi quality, you kind of expect a bit better execution? Believe me, I'm not complaining about the portions here. We got a couple of rolls and hand rolls, and the chef was a bit heavy-handed with the sauces. I kind of almost felt sick with food heaviness, which I usually don't get from having sushi. The chicken karage was good. The nigiri sushi that we tried were all fresh and yummy, you can't go wrong here with fresh tuna or salmon. Overall, the service, sushi, atmosphere, and chef's are all great, the prices are a bit high though. The execution probably needs to slow down a bit so that it feels like you are getting the high-end quality food & experience so that folks can take their time to sit and enjoy the food. I know, some other sushi places take forever, so it's kind of a dumb observation I'm making. However, with all that said, i would definitely recommend giving this place a try.
February 03 · D VSet up with newfound beautiful foodie friends! Birthday dinner was amazing. Wonderful food with wonderful time spent with my special ones! It was a perfect celebration and highly recommended! Very clean, and specialized menus. The ratio of servers to tables are perfect! Highly recommended!!! Pictures will speak for themselves and the matcha tiramisu was like a gift from heaven. Thank you queen gang for celebrating my birthday with me and for setting this up!
March 05 · MC SProbably one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Austin. The portions are very generous for what I am used to with nigiri and handrolls, but I’m definitely not complaining because the quality of the fish and rice is amazing. Each bite melts in your mouth and they always seem to make sure the premium cuts are indeed premium with uni/caviar/gold flake toppings. The handrolls are surprisingly quite filling so I recommend to order accordingly based on how full you’re looking to get from these lol. One thing to point out is that all nigiris come out at once so I feel a bit pressured to eat fast to taste the freshness of each bite. Additionally, the handroll seaweed is not as fresh (hard/crunchy) as it should be.Other than that, service was great and pricing is actually reasonable for what you get.
March 11 · Lisa NgoThis restaurant is truly a must-visit! The food is absolutely incredible! Everything we ordered was bursting with flavor, and I already know we will be craving some of the dishes again. We tried the Chicken Karaage, Hosomaki Salmon, Miso Soup, Akuma Roll, Bernie Roll, and Matcha Tiramisu, and every single bite was outstanding. The Chicken Karaage was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with an amazing umami flavor from the fried chicken skin. The Bernie Roll was our favourite. It had a delicious combination of salmon, hamachi, and unagi, all topped with a rich, flavorful sauce that tied everything together beautifully. If you love baked rolls, the Akuma Roll is a must-try. It tasted fantastic as well.Beyond the amazing food, the service was top-notch. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we had a great dining experience. If you’re looking for one of the best restaurants in Austin, this is it. Highly recommend!
