Kirimachi Ramen prides itself on its commitment to quality and authenticity. This dedication ensures a fresh and flavorful experience, whether you're a ramen connoisseur or simply looking for a comforting and delicious meal. The restaurant offers a welcoming and simple yet inviting ambiance, making it a favorite among locals working in the Financial District and beyond. With a focus on rich broths and perfectly cooked noodles, Kirimachi Ramen aims to transport your taste buds straight to Japan.

Kirimachi Ramen focuses on providing a concentrated menu of high-quality Japanese comfort food, primarily centered around their signature ramen bowls and donburi (rice bowls). Their offerings include:
Signature Ramen Bowls: Kirimachi is celebrated for its diverse range of ramen, featuring a variety of broths and toppings. Popular choices include:
Gyokai Tonkotsu: A rich, soy-based pork bone broth, often considered a house specialty, known for its depth of flavor.
Shoyu Ramen: A soy-based chicken broth, favored by many for its lighter yet deeply flavorful profile, often served with chashu and a soy-marinated soft-boiled egg.
Tori Paitan Ramen: A creamy chicken-based broth, offering a different but equally satisfying experience.
Miso Ramen: A chicken-dashi-based broth with miso, often topped with corn and scallions.
Vegetarian/Vegan Ramen: A thoughtfully crafted umami-infused vegetable-based broth, made with house-made egg-free noodles, offering a delicious option for plant-based diners.
Tsukemen (Dipping Noodles): A unique house specialty available for dinner, where the noodles are served cold and dipped into a concentrated, rich, and flavorful broth. This provides a distinct textural and taste experience for ramen enthusiasts.
Donburi (Rice Bowls): A selection of satisfying rice bowls, perfect for those who prefer rice over noodles, or as a complement to ramen. Options include:
Gyudon: Thinly sliced, slow-cooked sirloin with onions over rice, known for its sweet and savory seasoning.

Tuna Poke: Soy-marinated tuna with salad, seaweed, and pickles.

Authentic Broths: The restaurant is praised for its rich, flavorful, and authentic broths, particularly the Gyokai Tonkotsu, which is a complex blend of pork bone and seafood-based broth. Their broths are carefully simmered to achieve a deep umami flavor.
Specialty Tsukemen: Kirimachi is renowned for its Tsukemen, a dipping ramen dish that is a must-try for dinner. This unique preparation method allows diners to fully appreciate the richness of the concentrated broth and the perfect chewiness of the noodles.
Vegan-Friendly Options: Unlike many ramen shops, Kirimachi Ramen offers a dedicated and highly-rated Vegan Ramen with a truly vegan broth and egg-free noodles, making it an inclusive dining option for the growing plant-based community in California.
Friendly and Attentive Service: Numerous customer reviews highlight the welcoming and super sweet nature of the owner and servers, contributing to a pleasant and memorable dining experience. The staff often remember regular customers and their preferences.
Cozy and Inviting Atmosphere: While simple in design, the restaurant features floor-to-ceiling windows and a clean environment, creating an inviting and comfortable space for enjoying a meal. It's often described as a "Japanese gem" in the Financial District.
Consistently Praised Dishes: Beyond ramen, other menu items like the Gyudon (beef bowl) and gyoza are frequently commended for their deliciousness and authentic flavors.

Kirimachi Ramen Reviews
The waitress was friendly but the chicken ramen I got was on the lower end. It had a fishy taste and I had to use a lot of table seasoning to give it flavor. It also made my lips sticky. Wish it was better quality like I have had at other places.
May 15, 2025 · Joan FalleiroThe food is always amazing. Some of best ramen I’ve ever had. Big fan of the Shoyu and the Tori Paitan ramens. Owner/server is super sweet!
Apr 30, 2025 · Logan ChaseKirimachi Ramen is a quick and affordable option for eating in San Francisco. The place is small and has a fast food style. The service is friendly, and the food is acceptable, but it could be better. I'm not sure if I would return, as there are many better options in the city.
