KOHOKU-KU RAMEN CHICAGO Reviews
Lovely little restaurant. I was immediately pleased to have come here after entering and seeing the decorations, which were just like being in Japan. The food was very good. We got some appetizers like chicken and edamame, and a delicious ramen. It was all great! This is a hidden little gem in the neighborhood.
March 12 · Jair ReinaI was born and raised in Sapporo, so I keep my expectation pretty low when I go to ramen places in the US. I was pleasantly surprised here. It’s definitely not authentic (and I don’t think they’re trying to be) but it’s a good fusion ramen. Ramen here has boil choy instead of traditional ramen toppings. Ebi ramen is basically a tom yum kung with ramen noodles. Again, not the kind of ramen we see in Japan, but I thought they tasted great! The restaurant decor is cool, it’s not something I’d see in Japan, but I think it’s fun and very stereotypical Japanese like!
May 29 · A SatoI just found my new go-to spot! The fried chicken here is absolutely amazing, and the authentic Japanese vibe is such a vibe. The service? Top-notch. We went for the curry ramen this time, but next time, I’m definitely trying their signature dish. The staff said it’s perfect for keeping me warm in this weather. Can’t wait!😄
December 13 · Tanawat KThis is a gem. They're not that visable from the street, not that well know to potential customers but that will soon change. Their food is delicious. I tried the Goyza for an appetizer and had a spicy vegetable Ramen for my entrée. I was more than happy with my choices. Great taste and texture of the Goyza and the noodles were top notch. Take your friends there. They'll love the place for its authenticity and friendly service. Yes, all they have to do is keep doing what they're doing, the word will get out and this business will grow exponentially.
December 16 · Patrick CameronBeautiful atmosphere! The presentation and flavor were what sold us on this place. The portions are large, the entrees shareable, and it was wonderful service.
