The rules are clearly stated: "3 rounds" of ordering (customers often state they couldn't even finish one round due to generous portions), and a "2 hours" dining limit. This allows diners to try a wide variety of their delicious offerings at a fixed price, making it a highly popular choice for those with hearty appetites or groups wanting to sample extensively.
- Happy Hour / "Kanpai Hour": Koi Sushi offers a "Kanpai Hour" (Happy Hour) available "EVERYDAY 11:30AM - 6:00PM" for dine-in only. During this time, they offer specials on various items, with prices ranging "between $5-$10!" on a wide array of options including Spicy Tuna, Spicy Kani, Vegetarian, California, Shrimp Tempura, and Mexican rolls. They also list "Green Dragon Roll" and "Spice Girl Roll" for $11, and "Red Hot Roll" for $12. - Yelp Check-in Discount (Historical): As part of its former identity as Yi Sushi, the location historically offered an "XTRA 10%!!!" discount for Yelp check-ins. While not explicitly confirmed for Koi Sushi, this indicates a past willingness to engage with online promotions, and it's always worth checking for similar deals.
These promotions, especially the AYCE and the daily Happy Hour, make Koi Sushi an incredibly attractive option for locals seeking excellent Japanese food at a great value. Please try it yourself!*** repeat customer now with new pics! ****** Yi Sushi got bought out! *******Oh, If you're craving for Japanese, there's a nice little restaurant in National City called Yi Sushi (they have lots of seating inside). We came for lunch and really had a wonderful lunch deal... then we signed into Yelp and got an XTRA 10%!!! Very delicious and great on the pocket! Oh yeah. I forgot to take a picture, but the green tea ice cream is d' bomb and the mochi ice cream is to die for! We attacked it! Lol!!!
Apr 23, 2025 · Ruth PQuaint looking from the outside, welcoming on the inside. Large dining area, big enough for a reasonably sized party. Quite a few people seated (last I went), but the staff were tentative and prompt. Very courteous and helpful, they made us feel welcomed and at home. The all you can eat is reasonably priced per person, and the rules are simple: 3 rounds (couldn't do more than one) and up to 2 hours, you order it / you eat it. The rest of the menu is reasonably priced as well, with a good selection. Will be coming back here when I'm in the area!
Jan 14, 2024 · Samuel ElliotIf you love waiting as much at Disneyland or Universal you're in for a ride. Enjoy a comfy bed of rice per each bite and never make it past round 1 before they close. My boyfriend and I came on a Sunday night at 6pm with two other tables dining here already (pretty much empty) and I swear they have the most slowest service ever. The server of ours is an asian lady with short hair wearing a red shirt and she didn't bother to check in with us after like 30-40mins.Instead of catering to the guest eating here, this server lady would rather just go to her colleagues and flirt with them. She needs to be trained again and hire someone else who is more attentive to work here.It took a whole hour to even get our simple orders ready which was just a couple rolls and nigiri's.Aside from that with such slow service, 3 front running staff are all taking a break so no water service or any service??? I have never seen this happen in my entire life and I don't know if that is even possible (SEE PICS)The food here is bad and dull and they add way too much rice which honestly was very unnecessary (SEE PICS)
Nov 04, 2024 · Vy LFirst time there. I chose the, all you eat option for 34 dollars (37 including tax). You have a lot of roll options, and it includes salads. Drink not included. It was surprisingly tasty. Had three rolls and that filled me up. The person who waited on me was very nice and patient explaining how things worked.
Aug 06, 2023 · Roberto MadrigalTheir AYCE is the best I've tried in National City. They probably recognize us every time we go now. Been going almost 1-2/month since before the pandemic, I believe they had another name. 10/10 would recommend
