Kotobuki Reviews
Food is always superior to other sushi joints in the area. I always snag the kani salad the ginger salad the miss soup the california roll and some other specific rolls. Atmosphere is definitely a little upscale and packed tightly you can hear just about everyone's convo that's the only downside to this koint otherwise I would totally recommend you go and have some good quality sushi.
Apr 25, 2025 · Captain Chronic.Came in to give a try and support local eatery. It is very underwhelming establishment. From the moment you come in, wait staff looks a bit lost, tables are so close together that you would assume it's a one big dining party having dinner. No sense of separation. Person who was our waitress was very unprofessional and rushed to get the order in. When it came to entrées our sushi entree was left out which caused sushi chef to unwrap everything and make our dinner order on ALREADY cleaned for the night counter, which wasn't very pleasing to look at. To make it even more confusing...our hot sizzling entree came along with the sushi entree so we had super cold hand rolls and sizzling hot entree on the table at the same time. Goes without saying by the time we finished sushi that sizzling entree was already just slightly warm. So, what was the point of ordering sizzling entree if we ended up eating it at slightly elevated temperature. Also, we asked for utencils to help with consumption of rice and other hard to grab food, she gave us ... 1 single TEASPOON... thankfully we are married and don't mind sharing saliva.... anyhow towards the end she just rushed to give us the bill and get out. This establishment is not for date night or quality time spend together. At most, a place where you would come to take out but again why choose this place where prices are competing with Insignia and Aje53 and service is slightly better than what gas station clerk would offer. Save your time and go else where... somewhere where your visit will be valued and good service will be provided along with quality food that is worth it's price. Next morning we didn't even remember that we went to this place, this is how unmemorable and mediocre Katobuki is.
Mar 10, 2025 · Sun ShineBeen a customer for 30 years, go in yesterday and sit at the sushi bar to enjoy a Mother’s Day dinner. The place is packed, and their online orders have literally taken precedence over the in house orders. My server a nice apologetic young man felt awful however when I asked to speak to a manager an older woman comes over and tells me the manager is not in. I explained that I was in the restaurant business for many years and the house should always eat first. They just do not care. The loss of my business will not affect them, however I will see out a more professionally run operation. I hope management reads this and makes some adjustments. Extremely disappointed customer
May 12, 2025 · Steven ThallFood was good. Service was meh. Had to run down our server quite a bit. Food took a while to come out and actually one of the rolls was made wrong because it was missing white tuna. I honestly think the staff are stretched a bit too thin.
Sep 25, 2024 · M. B.It was my first time coming here after all these years that I was hearing about it. My boyfriend and I went around 8pm and the place was full but when we walked in we saw two tables cleaned and set. No one else was waiting on any line to get in. Only 1 person waiting for takeout. We were told there was a 45 minute wait. Why 45 minutes when you have tables ready?? So, we left and now won't try it at all. How's that?? So we went elsewhere to enjoy dinner. Your loss!!!
