Based on the available public information, Kumi Sushi does not explicitly advertise ongoing, broadly publicized promotions like a daily happy hour in the same way some other establishments might. The primary "special offers" that draw attention and enhance the dining experience at Kumi Sushi are their unique and rotating culinary creations.
Customers frequently highlight that they "tried two specials (uni & wagyu beef with truffles) which were so delicious." These high-end, seasonal, or chef-curated specials provide an exciting element of discovery for regulars and new visitors alike. While not a discount in the traditional sense, the opportunity to experience such exquisite and often rare ingredients prepared with skill can be considered a significant value proposition and a unique offering.
For the most current information on any specific daily specials, seasonal menu additions, or potential limited-time promotions, it is always recommended for prospective diners in California to directly contact Kumi Sushi via phone or check their official website or social media channels (if available). Kumi Sushi Reviews
Update: We still love Kumi! It has become our regular sushi spot and the staff and chefs are lovely. The nigiri, sashimi, and rolls are always consistently great. Their spicy edamame is the best one out there!Original review:We ordered a variety of nigiri and rolls and we were fully satisfied! Good fish, fair prices and friendly service. We will be back!
February 16 · Gladys DonovanThis was our second time eating and Kumi and it was as amazing as the first time. The food is incredible and the fish & oysters were super fresh (rivals Kru in terms of freshness)! We tried two specials (uni & wagu beef with truffles) which were so delicious and just melted in your mouth. The chicken Karaage was freshly made and not the frozen kind other restaurants use. The rolls were all unique and quite tasty. The service was also wonderful. The Manager Daisy is so friendly & welcoming and encourages you to try something new, which we were so glad she did. This is our new go to sushi spot in Sacramento.
April 27 · Christine SiadorSuper disappointed.I had been waiting to try this place for a long time.We went there for lunch, and even though it wasn’t crowded, the service was slow and disorganized. One of us got their food first, and the other had to sit there waiting. It was super awkward, and then the server came over and said, “Why aren’t you eating? Go ahead, eat.”Like, how about bringing my food first? The Lion King roll was awful — just a mushy mess with way too much sauce. We also tried the ramen (which was okay) and the udon, but it was way too greasy. I’ve had better at places like BentoBox and Ramen 101.The server seemed friendly, but she was constantly running around like she was in a panic attack, creating more chaos. It didn’t feel like a relaxed lunch — it felt like a total mess. Not worth the money. Definitely not coming back.
April 09 · Hanna KazhamiakinaRan in for a quick takeaway order. I'm impressed bc the food is tasty, the staff is polite, the dining room is cute, and the business is environmentally friendly.Food: $8 for 2 pc sake (salmon) nigiri. Fish portion is huge and fresh. Sushi rice is prepared and seasoned well. $13 for chicken karaage. Super crunchy, marinated thigh pieces served with lemon and spicy mayo. Also a good portion.Packaging: My to-go order was packaged in all recyclable or biodegradable materials! This is something I dont always see here in Sacramento. Staff also asked what supplies I might need (chopsticks, wasabi, soy sauce) to cut down on waste. Really appreciate these conscientious business practices.Ambience: There is bar seating by the sushi chef. More bar further away. Tables are spacious and comfy looking. TVs showing sports games when I went in. I'll definitely be back for dining in to have a beer and dinner! See you soon.
November 12 · Alison M CThis is a hidden midtown gem whose ROLLS rival Kru. The Fortune Toro and Snow White are my favorite, they are simple elegance at its tastiest with SUPER fresh fish (FT - sake toro inside, tuna toro on top & SW - hamachi inside, scallop on top… both are rare finds!) The Master Roll’s flavor was perfect with soft shell crab and shrimp tempura inside and assorted fish, masago, and green onions on top. The San Juan roll is for spicy lovers with a roasted jalapeño inside that was a bit too strong for me, but I loved that it was torched. I didn’t try the sashimi, but I imagine it would be great. The agedashi tofu was good, a bit heavy on the tempura, but the sauce was on the side so it didn’t get soggy like other places do. The Yuzu Kampachi had passionfruit puree which paired well with the fish, but it wasn’t as tender as I would like.
