Based on common practices for similar restaurants, additional potential "offers" for the local community might include:
- Lunch vs. Dinner AYCE Pricing: Many AYCE establishments offer a lower price point for lunch compared to dinner. It's advisable to check their specific schedule and pricing.
- Weekday Specials: Some restaurants might have slightly reduced AYCE prices or specific deals on less busy weekdays, as one customer visited on a "Tuesday around 7 and there was no wait."
- Loyalty Programs: Although not confirmed, a popular local spot might have a loyalty program for frequent diners.
- Takeout/Delivery Specials: While the AYCE is primarily for dine-in, Kumo Asian Restaurant also offers takeout and delivery, and they might have specific online ordering promotions or bundle deals.

Kumo Asian Restaurant Reviews
We all know that sushi can be expensive, and sometimes you just need an all you can eat option. For me, this is the best all you can eat option in Somerville. We tried it out years ago after a couple of bad experiences at another establishment down the street (horrendous facilities and they yell at you if you don't finish the insane amount of rice they give you with each piece of sushi).I love the fact that you can get tempira, salads, soups, etc as well as sushi and rolls. I haven't tried any of their noodle, hibachi or teriyaki options, but definitely always do the tempura. We went on Tuesday around 7 and there was no wait. I believe it was $29/pp which we calculated was cheaper than 2 regular and one special roll per person. They may not always understand you, but you write what you want on the sheet and they bring it when it's done.Overall a good experience.
Apr 10, 2025 · Nicole NittelI came here for all you can eat sushi and kitchen. The fish is very fresh, there are non sushi options, the salads are very fresh. I added a picture of the all you can eat schedule.
May 15, 2025 · Michael PennellaWe bumped into this place by accident when we were on a way to sushi palace which we frequently visited. But it was worth exploring! This sushi buffet is priced right, has plenty of food, polite staff and bring you own bottle option! It’s not as crowded as sushi palace, so you are more likely to find a bigger table if you bring a large party.
Dec 16, 2023 · Alex BThis review will be two parts. First, the 'all you can eat' trap, and second, the food quality.Any time I hear "all you can eat", my scam alarm goes off. Despite this, my friend dragged me here. Immediately, I realized the 'catch' with the ordering system. You pay a flat fee, and are able to order from a limited menu of appetizers/sushi/entrees - the catch is that you are charged EXTRA for any dish you don't completely finish. We ate everything we ordered, so this was not an issue, but it is DEFINITELY not clearly advertised beyond a vague 'please do not waste food' message on the menu. Furthermore, a la 'olive garden', your orders are deliberately slowed down in an attempt to reduce ordering. They even tried getting us to stop by placing the receipt on the table. Nice try. The portion sizes for some dishes are also HILARIOUSLY small. This is definitely a trap for the unfamiliar. We recognized it and planned our meal accordingly, thereby avoiding being 'had' by the trap- but it is there, and you should be aware. After tip and tax, it will be at least $40, so bear that in mind while ordering. The food quality varied by dish. The sushi roll was acceptable, and all the appetizers we tried were alright. That said, the hibachi dishes (beef/chicken) were hilariously small (both the size of the chunks, AND the plate size) - of course you can order as many as you want- I would recommend ordering one first to see how measly it is, and then ordering 4 or 5 to get an actual hibachi sized dish.
Jul 07, 2024 · Samg381Loved this place! I eat vegan/vegetarian and had no problem here. There was a little food leftover but they weren’t fussy about it. My first time at a mandarin style restaurant.I went with my cousins and their friends (on Christmas day eek) they said one of the sushi with meat/fish went bad but i wouldnt know.
