Kuro Ramen Reviews
Our family can't stop talking about this place! We ordered chicken Katsu curry and different types of Ramen; we haven't had anything this good since our trip to Japan. They had many great options to choose from. The peach soda, mango tea, and pomegranate lemonade drinks were so refreshing! Service was great, presentation was great. A little outside of Chinatown, but DEFINITELY worth it! Our favorite place we went to in Chicago.
May 29 · Keren SanchezThis place is awesome! We got the spicy miso ramen, curry udon, wasabi octopus, and fried shrimp. Everything was super tasty and beyond other Japanese ramen restaurants in the city. The food was flavorful and comforting, just what we needed after a long day. Molly was so sweet and made us feel really welcome. The place has a cute, cozy vibe and a big menu with lots of food and drink options. They stay open late, which is perfect for a late-night meal. Free parking is a plus. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area and want something delicious and satisfying. We’ll be back for sure!
May 30 · Jinglin LuI ordered out takeout from this place, via UberEats. I was in the ER, and starving. I ordered the spicy garlic edamame and the Kuro Ramen. After digging in and eating half the edamame, I saw a hair on one of edamame, and I immediately requested a refund. So I go home after the ER, and ask for a refund for the ramen because I was afraid hair was in it. But ubereats denied me. So two days later, because I’m sick, so I made pack ramen. I decided to use the extra ingredients that I paid for, and couldn’t get a refund for, in my pack ramen. As I sift through the ingredients and start putting them in a bowl, I see ANOTHER HAIR in my ramen, on my egg.. crazy because I wasn’t gonna use the egg at all, but something told me to just check. And there it was.To Kuro, please ensure your staff are wearing hairnets. And to future customers, best of luck to you!
March 28 · C CurryDiscovered Kuro Ramen upon making a last minute stop for dinner with a date and enjoyed it. Food was delicious and the drinks were just as great! Staff were very kind to me and my company and we left feeling satisfied. Will definitely be visiting again, thank you for your hospitality!
May 17 · MitchelI ordered takeout from Kuro Ramen and tried the Teriyaki Chicken Don with a side of seaweed salad. The meal was fantastic! Everything was packed carefully and arrived hot, fresh, and exactly as I ordered. The chicken was tender, the teriyaki sauce was perfectly balanced, and the portion size was very filling—great value for the price. The bowl includes two pieces of broccoli, which is a nice touch, but if you’re a veggie lover, I’d suggest adding a side of vegetables to round out the meal. The seaweed salad was a refreshing addition and paired perfectly with the rich flavors of the chicken.Overall, Kuro Ramen delivered an excellent takeout experience, and I’ll definitely be ordering again!
