Kushi Tsuru Reviews
After going back and forth looking for a restaurant to have lunch in the Japantown mall, we settled on this place, and unfortunately I walked out a bit disappointed. I'm not sure whether it was just because they were busy or not, but the staff was not the most welcoming, nor at all the most attentive during our meal.I usually enjoy udon noodles of any kind, but I was not fond of theirs. I will admit that my pallet is not the most refined, but it tasted like they used a simple miso broth for the noodles, which was very plain, as well as the miniscule quantity of beef being dry and tough. I highly do not recommend this dish as an option to eat, my friend's curry was good, as it is usually difficult to mess up said dish. The physical environment was nice to dine in, unfortunately it was not enough to cover the fact that my meal and treatment was an overall disappointment. I would probably skip this restaurant when in Japantown, perhaps a different dish, and a less busy day would make a difference, I'm not entirely sure.
May 03, 2025 · Enmeth GutierrezGreat place for casual sit down Japanese food focused on donburi and other cooked Japanese food. Simple and easy menu so each of their items are actually pretty good. I would definitely come back. I got the chicken katsu-don. When I come back next I’d like to try the chicken katsu curry or even the udon.I’d highly recommend for a well priced Japanese place when you are craving donburis or Udons.
Jan 01, 2025 · Mike ChangWas quite busy when we arrived, but we were seated promptly. Unfortunately, this place has its reviews manipulated for free drink, and the food was at best mediocre, yet pricey. Presentation, service and atmosphere was good though.
Dec 31, 2024 · Andrew HOriginally came in asking 30 minutes ahead of time for a party of 7. They took my name and number, and kindly told me it the table be ready. Circumstances changed, and I only had 5 people show up. They understood, and accommodated. Great servers, amazing food, good atmosphere! Have been here before but I am very glad they took care of me.
May 21, 2025 · Julian Haysread a lot of good reviews and decided to try it. the atmosphere is good, the staff is polite. The food is average I would say. My husband liked Oyako Don. I ordered the dinner set. the sushi was delicious. The salad was cut very large and it was hard to eat. the chicken was very thin and the portion was small. Overall not bad, but I think $30 is too much for this.
