For anyone in Washington seeking a true taste of Japan, Manzoku Izakaya is a place well worth choosing. The heart of the restaurant's appeal lies in its commitment to delivering an authentic izakaya experience. It’s a place where the food is meant to be shared, encouraging a communal and relaxed dining style. While the menu is a journey in itself, a few items stand out as particularly noteworthy. The skewers, both the yakitori and kushiyaki, are a major draw. The variety is impressive, ranging from classic chicken thigh (Momo) and chicken wing (Tebasaki) to more adventurous options like chicken heart (Hatsu) and gizzard (Sunagimo). For those who prefer other meats, the Saikyo Miso Beef and A5 Wagyu with Truffle Salt skewers are exceptional choices. Beyond the skewers, the rice bowls are a strong suit. The Wagyu Tataki Donburi, for example, has been praised for its tenderness, but the true highlight for many is the rice itself, which is said to be some of the best Japanese rice you can find. It’s perfectly cooked and flavorful, making a simple base into a delicious component of the meal. Another must-try is the Small Dish Set, which provides a great way to sample a variety of appetizers and get a feel for the restaurant's flavors. The desserts, like the Yuzu Cheesecake, offer a refreshing and authentic conclusion to the meal. With its friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and an extensive menu of both well-known favorites and unique dishes, Manzoku Izakaya offers a delicious and social dining experience that stands out in Seattle's vibrant food scene. It’s a place to linger over a delicious meal and a few drinks, making it an ideal choice for a casual night out with friends.

Manzoku Izakaya Reviews
Went here for a late night dinner - I ended up getting the wagyu donburi bowl, along with the us wagyu skewerstarting with the wagyu skewer, it was not that good. the description says wagyu, but the beef was super chewy, there wasn't much fat to it, and overall did not taste like I expected it to. When you couple this with how incredibly small these skewers were I definitely regret getting theseMuch better though was the wagyu donburi bowl. This was lightly grilled beef and an egg yolk over a bowl of riceThe beef here was way more tender than the skewer. While it still didn't have a lot of fat, the strips had a much better texture, and chewing on these was significantly easier than what I experienced with the skewer. These went down super wellThe highlight of the bowl, though, was the rice. I'm not exaggerating when I say this was some of the best rice I've ever had at a restaurant, and probably the best sushi (or Japanese) rice I've had. I don't know how they did it so well, but it was incredible - perfectly cooked, brimming with flavor, and just pure addicting. The combination of the egg yolk with this rice was just incredible.the portions were not super large here - both the bowl and the skewer probably isn't enough to fill someone up. When you consider the price of about $30/person, that's not an amazing dealOverall, it's not a bad spot - and they do the rice super well, but I feel like there are better Japanese places in the area. 6.5/10
April 08 · JamesThe food was beautifully presented and tasted fresh. The Small Dish Set had a great variety of flavors to start the meal, and the Kushiyaki skewers were grilled nicely with a good mix of meats. The Unagi Bento was flavorful and filling, definitely worth trying if you enjoy eel.Service was smooth and the order came as expected. The only thing I’d note is that the prices are on the higher side, but the quality and presentation made it feel like a special treat.Overall, a delicious experience—I’d recommend it for anyone who enjoys authentic Japanese flavors.
August 22 · Andy HsuVery fun and interactive concept, with a very well decorated interior. Staff was nice and knowledgeable. Unfortunately food, though beautifully presented, was not great - skewers were overcooked, dry, and unflavorful. I did enjoy the appetizer sampler (salmon sashimi was delicious)!
July 17 · Vilian LuongWe were just walking by and thought we’d give it a try. Turned out to be just the ticket! Skewers just kept coming…. Everything came out hot and tender and service was fantastic!(By the time I took a photo, we had devoured everything!).
August 22 · Michael Gfresh, well seasoned, and extremely tasty foods here. Everything is so well cooked. Definitely worth a visit when you’re in the mood for Japanese Izakaya food especially late at night. Service is efficient and professional.
