The buzz surrounding Mensho Ramen is well-deserved, with customers consistently praising the rich broths, perfectly textured noodles, and unique flavor combinations. Whether you're a long-time fan of Japanese cuisine or curious to explore the nuances of gourmet ramen, Mensho Ramen offers a truly remarkable experience that Phoenix locals will undoubtedly cherish.

Mensho Ramen is dedicated to providing a premium dining experience, focusing on the quality of their food and the comfort of their guests:
- Dine-In Service: The primary service offered, allowing guests to experience the modern decor and watch the staff in action. Customers have praised the "cheerful, kind, and amazingly attentive" wait staff, contributing to a warm and enjoyable atmosphere.
- In-House Noodle Making: A unique highlight, Mensho mills its own flour and makes its noodles fresh in-house daily. This commitment to fresh, custom noodles is a cornerstone of their "farm-to-bowl" philosophy.
- Gourmet Ramen Selection: The menu features a curated selection of five distinct ramen types, showcasing their expertise. Popular choices include the Classic Toripaitan (creamy chicken broth), Signature Toripaitan (with A5 Wagyu and duck chashu, and truffle paste), Garlic Knock Out (G.K.O. with five types of garlic), and even unique options like Duck Matcha Ramen (matcha-infused chicken and duck broth).
- Premium Toppings and Side Dishes: Guests can customize their ramen with additional toppings like smoked pork chashu, A5 Wagyu chashu, ajitama (seasoned egg), and truffle paste. A selection of mini dishes is also available, including highly recommended Karaage fried chicken, enoki chips, and grilled corn wings. They also offer Wagyu sushi.
- Reservations/Waitlist: While some sources indicate they don't take reservations, it's advised to check their current policy, as popular restaurants often manage waitlists or limited reservations for a smoother experience. Due to its popularity, be prepared for potential waits, especially during peak times.
Mensho Ramen stands out in the Arizona culinary scene due to several distinctive features and commitments to quality:
- House-Made Noodles: A significant highlight, Mensho Ramen mills its own flour and makes its ramen noodles fresh daily. This ensures unparalleled freshness, texture, and flavor, distinguishing them from many competitors.
- "Farm-to-Bowl" Philosophy: Founded by ramen master Tomoharu Shono, Mensho emphasizes sourcing seasonal and high-quality ingredients, often locally, for a fresh and flavorful product.
- Exquisite Broths: Their broths are slow-simmered for extended periods (some rumored to be over 20 hours), resulting in incredibly rich, flavorful, and distinct profiles, such as the creamy chicken-based Toripaitan.
- Premium Ingredients: Mensho Ramen utilizes luxury ingredients like imported A5 Wagyu chashu from Kagoshima Prefecture in Japan, duck chashu, and black truffle paste, elevating their ramen to a gourmet level. They also offer Wagyu sushi topped with uni.
- Award-Winning Pedigree: Mensho Ramen is an international chain with a serious fan base and has received recognition, including being a "Best International Import" by Phoenix Magazine for 2024 and being "Michelin-recommended" in some of its global locations.

Mensho Ramen primarily focuses on providing a consistently high-quality dining experience, which in itself is a significant draw. Specific, widely advertised daily or weekly promotions are not typically highlighted in the available public information, as their premium offerings often speak for themselves. However, certain aspects can be considered ongoing values or special draws for customers:
- Luxury Ingredients as a "Special Offer": The use of A5 Wagyu, duck chashu, and truffle paste in their Signature Toripaitan ramen, while contributing to a higher price point (ramen bowls range from $28-$45), offers a unique, luxurious experience that many consider a special treat or indulgence. This quality-for-value proposition is a continuous "promotion" of excellence.
- Unique Ramen Varieties: Offerings like the Garlic Knock Out (G.K.O.) with five kinds of garlic, or the intriguing Duck Matcha ramen, are distinctive culinary experiences that act as special attractions for adventurous eaters in Arizona.
- New Location Buzz: As a relatively new and highly anticipated second location in the Valley, the novelty and excitement surrounding the Phoenix Mensho Ramen itself serve as an ongoing draw for curious locals and ramen aficionados.

Mensho Ramen Reviews
I was told about this place last weekend and I had the opportunity to take my wife here for date night! My wife was beyond pleased! I couldn’t believe that they were milling the flour and making the noodles right here in house! The wait staff was so cheerful, kind, and amazingly attentive! The karaage fried chicken app was so good! I enjoyed the Classic Toripaitan with smoked pork chashu and an egg added, and my wife got the Signature Toripaitan with A5 wagyu chashu and duck chashu with a truffle paste. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and Jacoby gave us such warm and attentive service. We will be back… with friends!
Apr 07, 2025 · Brian SellThis was our first time at the new location. the first impression was fantastic. Beautiful restaurant and the decor to match it. Very modern feel compared to the Japanese style Mesa location. I will say the service lacked as it felt we were forgotten about by our waitress. Other guests who sat down after us got there food faster then we did and had a seperate team member check us out.Edit: I did go back to this location as the food is that good! Now this experience was much different. Waitress was extremely nice and answered any questions my friend had as this was his first time. We got a good variety of items this time and all were exceptionally delicious.
Jan 30, 2025 · Cameron Van CampenWow. Wow wow wow. This is by far the best Ramen I have ever tasted. I ordered the signature toripatian and the a5 beef and duck chashu. The broth was exquisite, the noodles exceptional, and don't get me started on the meats. The a5 beef was perfect and melted in my mouth. The duck was tender like butter. The waiter and waitress were very nice and explained the dishes excellently. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Definitely come here. Best Ramen in phoenix by far.
