Miku Sushi Reviews
The food here is great, but lacking in certain areas. We had the seafood ceviche to start, which was extremely sour and vinegary (and also pretty small portioned), but overall the seafood itself was wonderful. The tonkatsu ramen was phenomenal, the broth was rich and creamy, and the noodles were so delicious. My biggest complaint is that there wasn’t enough noodles; I was super hungry when I ordered and probably slurped all my noodles up in under a minute. I even had to order an extra portion of noodles to fulfill my appetite. I can’t quite put my finger on it but the poke bowl was just okay. It came well-proportioned, but the salmon and tuna felt a little warm and the entire bowl tasted a little under-seasoned.
May 17, 2025 · Ansen TanTrash. This feels like the kind of place that scrapes by in a tiny town because nobody has had Japanese food before. I think if I’d taken my high school girlfriend here in 2003, we may have thought it was ok. The miso soup was straight out of a pack, the dumplings were microwaved (so cold in the middle) and the tofu was impossible to pick up because it was so sloppy and flavourless. The staff didn’t care (I wouldn’t care either if I was serving slop to morons), and the outside patio was poorly maintained and grimy. Bad presentation. The water was pretty cold, so not all bad.
May 20, 2025 · sam faulknerExcellent sushi selection! Everything we have at Miku is delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Apr 16, 2025 · Steve VI was so excited to try this spot and it was a huge disappointment! We had reservations for 815pm and we didn't get seated until 840ish (other folks were in this situation too, there was a long line). Then once we got seated we waited some more then finally they took our orders. The food came out fast. We ordered the skewers: alligator and squid (very delicious). The sushi was alright; not memorable. Better places in the cityThe ramen was pretty good!!Overall, it was a mediocre dining experience and it just started out stressful.
Feb 15, 2025 · Tigui TiguiI walked in at the most improbable time - 3pm in a Monday for lunch - and this place feeds me so well that I feel obligated to leave this review. The eel, tuna, and basic salmon rolls are all top notch with fresh fish, perfectly cooked sushi rice, and just the right combo of flavors. The waitress is also attentive even when I am literally the only person in the restaurant. Love it so much.
