Feb 15, 2025 · Kait VisserA dining out experience in a small, locally-owned establishment should not come with the same expectations as a fine dining restaurant or a fast food place. My friend and I meet and have lunch here monthly. We have always been greeted warmly by the owner. She is sweet, kind, and friendly. She and her husband do everything themselves. The atmosphere and decor are hers to enjoy and share—even if your personal taste is different.Yes, the food may take a bit longer to prepare, but it is always fresh and delicious. They do handle several takeout orders because of the high number of workers in the area. These people likely have limited time to eat we don’t mind them getting those orders out first. If you have time to enjoy a delicious meal in a friendly, family-owned establishment, base your decision on ALL reviews, not just those of a few.
May 08, 2025 · Cathy HoffmanI have gone to this restaurant for years, and it’s exceptional. The owners are always very kind and accommodating. Service is great. The food is EXCELLENT! They cook everything fresh to order, nothing is pre-made. My favorite teriyaki place. Even with rising costs, they have kept their prices very reasonable. I hope they stay open for a very long time!
May 01, 2025 · RhondaWe went to Costco for lunch, and their food court is closed so we came here. I am so glad that we did! The food here is amazing! The chicken is cooked to perfection. The rice is a perfect amount of sticky. The owner is so sweet and caring. I don’t live in Marysville, but would love to come back again!
May 17, 2025 · Emylee NorgaardWe used to dine here for years and it was excellent. Today we stopped in after not being here for about 4 years. The first thing you saw was all the clutter (Xmas decorations and leftover plastic plants on tables). The “Open” sign wasn’t even on. When we walked in, no one was there ordering or eating which surprised us (this place was always busy). We ordered a #13 combo (chicken/beef teriyaki) and a #16 combo (spicy beef and pork). We waited, and waited and waited…(at least 30 minutes or more and this is teriyaki folks…)other people came in to get their to go orders and some were even cussing when they left as the owner/hostess had told them 25 minutes and it was more than 40 minutes but the owner blamed the customer for showing up a few minutes late because the customer’s order wasn’t done so she was kept waiting. We used to spend about $10 per meal here and it was always great with all the complimentary sauces and great service. Our meals were almost $20 each. My husband’s meal was okay but lacking any additional sauces that he always had there. My chicken and beef combo was lukewarm/cold. We were the 1st people in the restaurant to dine in at around 3:15 pm. I didn’t eat much of mine as I didn’t want to get sick from cold chicken/beef. I went up to ask for a box so I could take it home and heat it up. The owner noticed I hadn’t eaten any of it and asked why. I told her it was luke warm/cold. Rather than trying to fix the issue she started making excuses like, “our plates aren’t warm” and “we have other orders (we were dining in so there was no excuse). Then she did the ultimate: she said to me: “no one had ever told us this before, you are the only one.” What a lie! She did nothing to make the situation right and instead made excuses and insulted a long time customer. She never offered an apology or tried to right the situation but instead blamed the cold plates and the customer. Does she not understand that cold/lukewarm chicken/beef can make people sick? Will never go back there again. This was a place we always went to for years and years. They now do not care about their customers and the place isn’t even clean anymore. They need to shut down if they are not interested in providing good food, service and safety to their clientele.
