Customer Loyalty Recognition: As noted by a long-time customer, the servers recognize frequent visitors. While not a formal "promotion," this personalized service and friendly acknowledgment can enhance the overall dining experience and encourage repeat visits, making it a valuable intangible benefit for loyal patrons.

Miyozen Reviews
It was a bit pricier than expected, but the food was high-quality. I bought an appetizer, a green tea, and two rolls, and the total was about $45 (excluding tip). Will definitely be back!
Apr 07, 2025 · Amokeye OgarI've been here probably 10 times and I'm sure that number will only go up. The servers now recognize me at the front lol. One of my Emeryville faves!I've had take out and dined in and it's really good both ways. They package the takeout very thoughtfully, especially if you have spillable soups or other dishes in the bag.The atmosphere inside is very chill but good for families, friends, etc. I always just eat on my own. They have anime playing on the TVs, usually with captions so you still know what's going on. Service is super nice.I'm a simple roll type of person so I'm fond of the salmon roll and the spicy tuna. Good cuts, pretty decent price, always yummy.Miso soup is good but I usually opt for the vegetable tempura.Grilled squid is yummy but not for everyone.Fried oysters are crisp and I like them better with just a drizzle of lemon rather than dipped in the sauce. The sesame balls for dessert are soooo good and always leave me stuffed.Truly a great place and now they have a revolving sushi bar over the weekends (Fri-Sun) so I'm definitely going back to try that out!
Feb 12, 2025 · TurnipboysThe dragon ball appetizer was incredible, and the penthouse roll was good but not amazing. Happy to bump this rating up to a 5/5 if I can find myself a roll I like as much as the dragon ball appetizer. I’ll definitely be backEdit- we went back to dine in and give it another shot and this time we went with the coconut shrimp, spicy fried California roll, and crunchy jalapeño roll. The jalapeño crunch was my favorite. The plain ramune Japanese soda was a hit too!I’d bump this up to 4.5 stars because I loved the ambience at the restaurant and eating the food fresh definitely helped the taste. I do however feel slightly uncomfortable walking up to the restaurant because the neighborhood can feel a bit deserted and sketchy at night time
Sep 28, 2024 · SunainaWe were in Emeryville after 9 pm on a Sunday night. Where to eat? We were seated right away. Staff were friendly and food was perfect. One of our party had never eaten Japanese food before. Is that possible in California? The waitress was patient and helped her order.
Feb 05, 2025 · Bill MinasianThe food was fine, but pretty expensive for what you got. Chirashi/sashimi was the smallest I’ve ever gotten aside from fancy omakase experiences.. thin and small pieces, with overly seasoned, vinegary sushi rice. That was pretty disappointing but what made the experience worse was that there was no AC or air flow in the restaurant. It was probably 80ish degrees in the restaurant. When we left, it was significantly cooler outside. Others may not be bothered this but for me it was really uncomfortable and unpleasant. Overall I think there are many better options for sushi/Japanese in the east bay.
