MIZU Japanese steak house Reviews
It was only my Wife Rolanda and 1 other couple in the place. A lot of take out orders were taking place. Everything was really fresh and their score is high. The one lady kept yelling in her native language to the back and while in the back. My Wife had way more vegetables than chicken in her dish. Not much attention to our table. They were very busy with the to go orders.
Mar 22, 2024 · Deborah PrattUpdated since restaurant replied:The roll was ok, not like expected, but fine. This review is more for the customer service. There was huffing and puffing when questions were asked. There were straight no's when asked if changes can be made. I understand if changes can't be made, 100% understand. But the attitude and rudeness when replying was very off putting. I hate leaving bad reviews but yall were rude. I wanted to order more, left hungry and upset. I appreciate you made the food the way it wasneeded and asked, but the way you handled it, a huffed an full shoulder raise and drop like I'm inconveniencing you made me feel like I should leave so I don't upset you more.***************************************Should've listened to the reviews.I am celiac and cannot have gluten, as I was ordering sushi, I wanted the spicy tuna roll and a few other spicy rolls, when I inquired If they had tempura on them like a lot of their other rolls do (tempura is not listed in the ingredients of the rolls i wanted) she said yes it did, i asked if I can have it with out. Just the tuna, spicy mayo, and rice, she rolled her eyes and huffed and said it has to have it its mixed in the spice mayo. I asked if I could possibly get it with out (it was 1130am and we were the only customers) she literally huffed, roller her eyes and straight said "no." I said ok ill just take a plain tuna roll, instead if the 3 ibwas interested in, and asked if there was gluten free soy sauce. It was in a dirty bottle that was a reused bottle of regular soy sauce with a homemade label that said "glutin" free so I walked to publix and bought a new bottle for myself, no biggie. When i returned my sushi was waiting for me, it looked ok but just tuna, I stepped up to the sushi bar and asked the man if I could have a side of spicy mayo. Again there was an eye roll and a huffed "sure." Food was ok, nothing to tell anyone about, but the customer service is something everyone should know about. It was rude and full of huffs.I've seen the replies the owners all reply with to bad reviews so I can't wait for them to tell me I ordered the wrong thing, or I should've chose something else. I'm celiac and restricted to what I can have, usually sushi is easy since each roll is made fresh. 🤷🏻♀️ good luck if you go here for food.
Feb 20, 2025 · Allie NicholsonI should have listened to the reviews! I ordered the Pad Thai. It was not edible. I ended up throwing it away. The chicken was odd looking and had an unusual smell and texture. The noodles tasted like straight fish sauce. I wanted to give this place a chance, but I simply can’t waste money hoping the next dish will be better.Response to restaurant:Blaming your patron instead of accepting responsibility is not how you run a business. I didn’t pick wrong as all your items on the menu should be edible. Also, this was my first and last time at your restaurant. I came in for a pick up order alone, so you have me confused with another patron.I can accept that sometimes things happen and maybe the dish was not as typically prepared, but your response and blame shifting has put me off from even wanting to try anything else. I would rather take my business elsewhere.
Jun 30, 2024 · Samone MartinThe old review is below. When I entered I was not greeted kindly. The food was good last time so I was optimist and willing to look past this. The Mongolian beef was absolutley gross this time. The meat was bland and very chewy. Tasted as if they had boiled the meat! I love to support local businesses close to me. I can't imagine someone visiting this place after my review so I had to edit this one.Old review below.Mongolian beef was made very well. The meat was tender and full of flavor. I have had better, but this is pretty darn good. Some of the vegetables were undercooked and still had the crisp taste of fresh veggies. Some people may like this. I did not. The dumplings were just okay. They seem to deep fry them, not pan fry them. The restaurant was very clean and the service was pretty good. I didn't quite get the genuine sincerity of good service. The facade they put on was not bad, though. I would give them another shot and possibly try other items. From reading the reviews, I am scared to try the Thai food. The Chinese food was quite well prepared.
Apr 28, 2024 · Joseph LambertSaturday night, restaurant was a ghost town except one patron besides me. I thought the place was closed.Placed an order to-go.Highlights: Hostess was kind and helpful. Order was quickFood: Coconut soup tasted like chicken broth with milk & onions, Teriyaki chicken was weird, over sweetened and oily?, Crunch roll was "fluffy"... not crunchy. This is my second attempt eating here. (Few years in between).Same thoughts as my last visit...Not bad, but not worth a 3rd attempt.
