Mogumogu - Costa Mesa Reviews
This charming little shop completely satisfied our mazemen craving! We were pleasantly surprised when an employee opened the door to welcome us in and asked whether we’d prefer to wait or be seated at the bar.The service was exceptional from start to finish. They gave us plenty of time to browse the menu and checked in on us regularly without being pushy. Waters arrived immediately after we were seated, and our food came out within just a few minutes of ordering. We tried both the cheese mazemen and Tokyo mazemen, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The servers were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our meal - truly embodying the excellent customer service that Japanese culture is known for. We’ll definitely be returning when we’re craving quality ramen or mazemen. Highly recommended!
May 31, 2025 · JoeWe stumbled onto this place after going to another restaurant that was closed, and what a great find! We love ramen but never had mazeman, so we had both. In addition, we enjoyed a couple great apps - the sausage and deep fried tendons. The ramen and mazeman were excellent with great chewy noodles and complex flavors. If you've never had fried tendons, you need to give these a try - they are perfectly chewy with a little crunch, plus it's deep fried! The smokey little sausages were a delicious way to whet the appetite. The room is small but charming. You'll probably need.tonwaot a bit during peak times but it will be worth it.
May 27, 2025 · Lucas WonnCute little restaurant on the corner of a strip of businesses at the Costa Mesa location. Waited about 10 minutes for a table inside for 3 of us on a Sunday. 2 tables outside which is perfect for people to bring their dogs. I can confirm 2 dogs being at the outside tables:) We had Mogu Chicken Karaage, 2 Deluxe Mazemen, and 1 Curry Mazemen. My daughter didn't really like the Curry Mazemen because she's a fan of everything curry and the curry was so subtle so she was disappointed. My husband and I liked the Deluxe Mazemen, especially after tailoring the dish to our personal tastes with the vinegar and crushed sesame seeds at the table. The Mogu Karaage was delicious! Wish there was room for the Green tea cheesecake but they gave a novelty coin for the Gacha machine to win something and we won 20% off our next visit! I'm excited to try other things on the menu next time!
Jan 14, 2025 · S. FosterNever tried this style of ramen. It was surprisingly tasty. Very flavorful. They recommend eating half of you bowl and adding their special vinegar sauce halfway through. They give you a small bowl of rice to finish any sauce remnants. Will be coming back if I'm in the area.
Aug 14, 2023 · Marc PI love this place! My favorites are the curry mazemen, LA style takoyaki, and mogu chicken. It's perfect to go and always delicious. The price is very reasonable as well. It's in a plaza with other businesses, and the parking lot isn't huge, but I've never had trouble getting a spot. The staff aren't the friendliest when I pick up my order, but it's a short interaction. This is one of my go-to places for easy, delicious takeout.
