Momotaro Reviews
The service here is awesome - the vibe is also modern and young-spirit:)The food didn’t really live up to expectations based on the average pricing here. My favorite is the chicken pate dish. The beef spaghetti and lamb skewers were quite salty in my opinion. I also tried the duck breast skewer, would be great if it can be more tender and warm.
May 29, 2025 · Lilly NguyenI visited this Japanese restaurant during my vacation, and it was definitely a highlight. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, creating a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. The food was fresh and flavorful—both the nigiri and yakitori were cooked to perfection and truly above average. The service was also outstanding; our server was enthusiastic and attentive throughout. I’d definitely return the next time I’m in Chicago.
Apr 22, 2025 · PopotatoesPerfect bluefin tuna!! Holy sh*t… it’s melt-in-your-mouth quality!! No photos since that did not last long on our table. Felt super special for my birthday when they gifted me a pair of chopsticks!! So sweet! Love this place. 10/10
Apr 06, 2025 · April OttWhat an amazing space and meal to boot. The dinning spaces are impressive – for a more intimate experience try a table upstairs. I’ve never thought of pate as Japanese but the Jidori Kimo was amazing, and the Broccoli Goma-ae makes for a nice refreshing starter. We were also impressed with Chahan. We weren’t so impressed with the Mishima Skirt Steak, but maybe that was just a clue we should have stuck to more of the amazing sushi on the menu. The Monk’s Journey on the drink list was different if you’re looking for something unique. The service of course was impeccable. This place is great for groups who like to try a lot of little things.
May 12, 2025 · Jordan GaryCame in for Restaurant Week, and honestly, they have some of the best sushi I’ve had in a while—absolutely delicious. The cocktail was so good I had to get two (wish I remembered the name). The octopus was amazing—slightly spicy, but the sauce balanced it perfectly. The Negimawas just okay. Dessert, though? The flourless cake was next-level!
