Nakamura Reviews
This is a really small place with only few tables and a small bar. We tried two kind of Ramen - classic pork broth which was rich and savory. And chicken broth with spinach and a perfectly cooked egg, this was also great, far more light than the pork broth and had thin noodles. We started with a chicken gyoza which was nice. The staff was super nice but you make the order through an app. The place could be cleaner, tables needed a decent amount of soap, not to mention the floor.
Dec 29, 2024 · Danit TzamitWe saw a youtube video about this place and had to try it. It was so good! I had never had ramon so full of flavor. We were in NYC for 3 days and honestly was the best food we had the whole stay. This is our third time in NYC and this will definitely be a place I return to in the future.
Dec 27, 2024 · Bianca HernandezWe're ordered the Chicken Gyoza, Yuzu Wings, and Shishito Peppers. I like the wings a lot. The yuzu flavor is really good.
Dec 31, 2024 · Kenny ChenI ordered the tsukemen at this small, eight-table restaurant, which appears to be affiliated with the higher-quality Japanese spot next door. Ordering via QR code was convenient. The noodles, while a generous portion, aligned with the $25 price. The ajitama egg was well-prepared, boasting a lovely yolk. Overall, the bowl of Japanese noodles was decent, though it didn't quite reach the level of Okiboru. The place itself lacks any particular vibe. It's brightly lit and suitable for a quick meal, but don't expect much in terms of ambiance. The service was efficient, and the wait time was minimal. While the tsukemen was a solid offering, it didn't entirely justify the $25 price tag, making the value proposition somewhat questionable. The textures in the noodle bowl were pleasant, with the chewy noodles contrasting nicely against the soft egg. The broth, while flavorful, lacked the depth and complexity I was hoping for. The execution was competent, with fresh ingredients, but the overall experience was unremarkable. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this joint for a special occasion, but it serves its purpose for a quick and convenient meal.
Feb 18, 2025 · Jack MaguireAwesome food and portions. The Yuzu Wings were super delicious. We got the ton toro pork ramen (generously add chilli oil, it will be even tastier) and the pulled chashu mazemen. You can also order from the menu of the sister restaurant next door, Niche, which focuses on mazemen. The Yuzu Line Soda was refreshing and just the right amount of both sweetness and carbonation. We will definitely be back.We read a recent article on Time Out New York naming this as the top ramen spot in the city and had to try it out for ourselves. We were lucky to get a same evening reservation and that they could sit us within five minutes on a Saturday night after we were delayed nearly half an hour by the subway (shoutout to the MTA!!!).Super nice staff and it was easy to order via phone/app system. Service was a bit slow but likely because they were busy and nothing that would knock off a star.
