NoriNori HTX Reviews
Stumbled upon this GEM that transported through a food journey of a night for our one year anniversary after playing Space Claw next door! We started the night with cocktails before moving onto the Chef’s sake during late night HH at 10pm. I had the matcha cocktail (sooo good) and he had the smoked old fashioned (in the video). For the starters we did the grilled Wagyu bone marrow for my fiancé and truffle mushroom pasta for myself. Off menu they had a madai crudo that was divine! Now let’s get to the main! We customized and mixed and matched hamachi, toro, and scallop foie gras hand rolls with some off menu masago and ikura nigiri. The picked wasabi especially stood out to my fiancé and is a must add. We’ll have to come back and try the AYCE Omakase on Sunday! I heard reservations are encouraged. They brought us a matcha crème brûlée for our anniversary but will also offer an espresso martini or the same dessert for a Google review of your experience! A cool vibey spot for date night and a definite favorite in my book. I’ll be sure to ask for the Spotify playlist next time if they have one too!
Apr 27, 2025 · Diane Trinh NguyenTrying out their Sunday AYCE omakase. I gotta say, it is definitely exceeding my expectation. I am surprised they even serve uni, A5 wagyu, foie gras, truffle! They are not cheap with portion size either. Even though after the first round, most of the dishes are nigiri and hand rolls, I still think it is worth $150 per person. Chef is so nice and let us try different stuff. Everyone in my party is complimenting the flavor of each dish. Highly recommend it!
Apr 21, 2025 · Eileen Hoongton was the center of a great representation of what hospitality, entertaining, and service should be in every restaurant.the vibe, the food, the staff made the experience so much better. they’re a great, fun team. the restaurant’s menu changes about every 3-4 weeks.we had the nori box for 2 people to enjoy (eat it slow and roll it up as small as possible to get full because it’s delicious!) and the lamb chops was worth every single bite.
May 18, 2025 · Jennifer VFood: for the price charged, the quality and presentation was mediocre. The seaweed from the rolls were served in plastic, making it unsightly and a hassle to eat. The nori box was served in a wooden box with the different fish touching each other and seaweed on a separate plate, but the 5 bangers is each separate. No consistency. Drinks were ok if you order from happy hour menu.Service: the employees were very green. Many of them seemed confused abt what needed to be done and we had to repeat our orders everytime we want something. It doesn't seemed like there were area assigned to each employees as different employees was coming to take each our orders.Atmosphere: clean, beautiful decors but tables and chairs were cheap. We couldn't put our arms on the table without it wobbling. The chairs were flimsy and sway too easily for a restaurant.Overall a solid 6/10. We ordered 6 food items and 4 drinks for ~$300 total and barely felt satisfied. You can find much better food and service elsewhere for the same price.
Mar 18, 2025 · Linh N.I went to NoriNori quite late and got bar seat. Overall, super chill and incredibly friendly and nice staff. It's on the very casual side of more upscale sushi place, so not River Oaks or Heights type of upscale. I love the staff here genuinely they are great and very attentive.Overall the rolls are great! The nori is crispy, if you sit at the bar they would hand you the rolls right away without plastic wrap so everything is fresh. The fish in the handrolls is good, fresh and all, good quality and rich. I actually quite like the Hamachi roll, I think the sweet green apple works well as a flavor combination though i can see lots don't agree. I did add wasabi into the rolls and I think it balances the flavor greatly. My favourites are Madai, Hamachi and Toro, followed by the Spicy Tuna, with the Madai being the best one - very nuanced and balanced combination, super refreshing. The rolls looked great, I think some of the spicy sauces are a little too much (not spicy, but not prioritizing the flavor of the proteins).Their nigiris are great through out, I got a set of the nigiri box, and everything hit! I do think overall all the white fish here is notably better than the fattier one, with the Kinmedai & Hirame/Madai (I forgot which one) being pretty damn good and buttery, as well as the scallop. I think dishes where they go with more refreshing flavor profiles definitely shone the most!Overall, probably top-tier for Bellaire and I would comeback for the nigiris and a few rolls. Incredible incredible staff and I had a great time! Pricing is ok, the nigiris are very good bang for your bucks!
