Oishi Asian Cuisine Reviews
This is a "mom and pop" sushi shop with a focus on take out orders. You can dine in but it feels like a no-nonsense space and the proprietors concentrate their attention to friendly service and efficient, expeditious preparation of familiar Japanese food. While I was there, all of the orders were to go. They were all called in and I was the only one who walked in to order my food.A thing I noticed is that the age tofu (tempura tofu) was served with a little bit of togarashi (chili pepper spice blend) on the top. At other places, the age tofu is sometimes served with bonito flakes and/or daikon oroshi (grated daikon radish). The shop does punch above its weight in the freshness of fish or seafood used in their sushi/sashimi dishes.
Jan 16, 2025 · Hem BorromeoWe stopped in and ordered takeout: Gyoza, Tokyo Roll, Firehouse Roll, Spicy Shrimp Roll, and Chicken Lo Mein. It was all incredible. Highly recommend.
Mar 12, 2025 · Leigh BakerI brought the hibachi home with me, without the onion tower or sake squirt bottle.Had a hankering some some asian cuisine but didn't want to just order Panda Express or something, so I looked around for better scored locations and found Oishi among the top.Ordered online going with the shrimp hibachi meal, an order of the crab rangoon, and spring rolls. All together coming to a little over $32. Was a little worried the order would get cold when I received a notification that it was ready for pickup around 17 minutes before the pickup time I requested, luckily that didn't happen. When I got home with it I found the paper bag and containers within held in the heat of their respective items pretty well, some of it was a little cooler than I would have liked but not to an off-putting degree. The hibachi meal comes with clear soup (tastes just like it does at a hibachi), green salad (with the ginger dressing, just like at a hibachi), sautéed shrimp, veggies, and your choice of fried rice or noodles. (I went with the rice) That entire meal was 1 for 1 a hibachi dinner, taking me back to many times I have been to a real sit-down hibachi. Albeit without the embarrassing gimmicks and silly shows the chef will put on, and thank goodness for that. The crab rangoon was as expected, addictive, almost being polished off before I made it back to my room for dinner. And the spring rolls were alright, probably the least impressive part of my meal, but nothing offensive about them.
Jan 13, 2024 · iMacOfDeathGreat food, great prices, friendly service. Not a lot of seating (maybe 12-15 total) so be wary if visiting with big group. I will be back for sure!
May 14, 2025 · Mike EThis place is a hidden gem. The family that owns it is so nice and they do such a great jobThe food is nothing short of fantastic and is consistently so. We have ordered there too many times to count and have never had a single issue. No missing items, no incorrect orders and absolutely no complaints about the food.My wife loves the sushi there. I love the hibachi steak with the fried rice. My three picky kids even love the food. There is plenty on the menu to satisfy most peopleDo yourself a favor and give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.Almost forgot to say that the dressing that comes with their salads is amazing. I wish I could get bottles of it.
