While specific, ongoing promotions at Oishi Japanese Cuisine are best confirmed directly with the restaurant, all-you-can-eat buffets often have structured pricing that acts as their primary value proposition. For residents in Virginia, particularly in Fredericksburg, it's important to note the different pricing for weekdays versus weekends, as the weekend rate (e.g., $23.99) can be higher. It's always advisable to check their current adult and children's pricing, and whether drinks are included (often they are not). Oishi might offer specific lunch specials or early bird discounts during less busy hours, or perhaps loyalty programs for frequent diners. Oishi Japanese Cuisine Reviews
My wife and I went to Oishi on a Saturday. There were at least 20-24 different types of sushi available, buffet style, as well as several salads. You can also order gyoza, fried shrimp, crab rangoons, fried rice, something from the hibachi, as well as ice cream as many times as you want. The hibachi chicken was delicious. It came with white or fried rice and was the size of a meal on its own.Though all of the food was delicious, with a price of $23.99 on the weekend; I would only return for a special occasion.
May 12, 2025 · G EI would rate this restaurant 3.5 stars.I appreciate the cleanliness of this buffet restaurant. Adult is $16.99 for all you can eat buffet. Drink is not included. They have plenty of seating area. The server pretty much deliver all entries and desserts. They only food items you can get yourself are sushi and salad items.I am a ramen lover. The first thing I ordered was spicy Tonkotsu ramen. I noticed that they slimmed down the offerings choices and also ingredients while the pricing seems higher now than Yelp reviewers listed. My spicy Tonkotsu ramen was not spicy. The broth is okayed but the ramen was not chewy like I expected and was kind of overcooked. There was no egg or seaweed. The char siu slices were good.I also ordered beef yakisoba noodle. This dish was all wrong. It lacked flavor and again the noodle was not right. It has no texture. I think Costco yakisoba is way better than theirs.Their appetizers were just okay. I do like the Japanese fried chicken nuggets. Their sesame balls with red bean paste were good but were kind of light color and very small. Their fried donut was good.I am not a fan of sushi. I did try one plate. They seem good but I can't really judge.I also sampled the orange ice cream. It was really orange sherbert. Their coffee cake was very good.
May 01, 2025 · Dory TangThe establishment has a pleasant ambiance and an appealing style. During my visit, I ordered octopus salad, seaweed salad, sushi, and ramen. However, I found the ramen to be quite bland, lacking flavor, and I felt the same about the octopus salad. The sushi was average; I have had better and worse options in the past, so I would categorize it as just okay. Based on my experience, I likely won't return to this location. However, I can suggest it to someone who is curious about trying sushi for themselves.😘👋
Mar 12, 2025 · Alicesyn ThomasThis place actually shocked me. I was shocked to see that Ramen was on the lunch buffet menu, but was not expecting much, because it’s a buffet. Well, I was actually very shocked. I ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen, which had nice sized pieces of pork, that was soft and flavorful. The broth was not too heavy, full of flavor, and filling, as well as the included toppings (fish cake, bamboo shoots, green onions, corn, kikurage). I was actually blown away that it had that many toppings, considering that this is a buffet. The noodles were also not overcooked and a good balance. The sushi was also very tasty and fresh. This place exceeded my expectations, and I’ll be back for ramen! Customer service was very friendly. Also, price was good.
