I came here for an omakase experience with high expectations, but unfortunately left very disappointed.The dishes were quite average overall. Many pieces had an overwhelming amount of wasabi that completely masked the natural flavor of the fish. Only the sashimi stood out to me as genuinely good. Portion sizes were small, and considering the total cost—nearly $300 for two sets ($95 and $125) plus tax and tip—I didn’t feel it was worth the price at all.More concerning was the hygiene and attitude behind the counter. There were two chefs. The chef on the left wore an apron and gloves, looking very professional. In contrast, the chef on the right wore neither an apron nor gloves at any point. In any professional kitchen, wearing an apron is a basic hygiene standard—not just for cleanliness, but also to show respect for the customer and the food.Even worse, I saw this chef eating his own food from a paper bag while seated below the counter, clearly trying not to be seen. Then he returned to preparing food with bare hands. Even if he rinsed them, this behavior is simply unacceptable during an omakase service, where guests are trusting you with quality and care.His attitude was also off-putting. He looked at customers with an unfriendly or annoyed expression, making the whole experience feel tense. I don’t know if there were internal issues among the staff, but it clearly showed in both his attitude and food handling.This was not the omakase experience I hoped for. I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for a refined and trustworthy dining experience.

The rice used in sushi was actually warm which did not bode well with fresh fish. The omakase chef was barely audible and could not communicate with the diners, an absolute no go for a 150$+ experience. The fish was cut poorly and lacked freshness (at least 1-2 days old). My partner (who is Japanese) said she would not even get paid to eat here, which I think summarizes our experience. Even the green tea served was so bad. How can one get that wrong? Don’t get fooled by good reviews. Stay away!

It includes starters, 9 fresh nigiri (all fish!), 2 sashimi, chef’s choice dishes of the day and dessert.I love their nigiri. The delicate sauces added a whole new layer of flavor. The rice was perfectly seasoned and held the fish just right.If you are celebrating birthday, they will treat you a special birthday surprise that made the celebration even sweeter.Oma is dinner-only, so be sure to reserve online in advance—seating is limited!

Price cheap (vs US standards) for omakase. Not five because there are a couple that did taste a bit fishy for me. But loved the concept and the variety. I ordered the cheapest menu, no add-on, and find it already good enough. Would recommend.

While the nigiri sushi was fresh and enjoyable, I was disappointed by the absence of popular choices like fatty tuna and uni, which are typically included in omakase experiences.The casual atmosphere in a mall setting added charm, but the overall lack of interaction with the chef and the somewhat bland food selection left me underwhelmed.Other omakase places have price tag twice higher so it not super honest to compare, but I wouldn’t return to Oma again. And while I had a decent time, I cannot recommend it to others.
