Poké Bar Reviews
Update: the manager called and spoke to me and offered a full refund through GrubHub, saying: “our food is good, ma’am” and “I don’t know what happened” (when he also mentioned that he’s the only person there) as he expressed frustration at me leaving a bad review. I am truly not one to leave a bad review (I have written all of 4 reviews here on google), but when a large portion of the meal is missing and the protein isn’t quite right, I will speak up for myself.I’ve added a photo of the food (that I did not end up finishing). Judging by other recent reviews, I am not the only one to think that the food is not as high quality, unfortunately.Original: I ordered a medium poke bowl, delivered through GrubHub, from this restaurant. My order included white rice, spring mix, and raw salmon. When I received my order, there was no white rice. And the salmon appears to be either cooked or just not fresh at all; it does not have that translucent appearance that raw salmon normally has. (At least, that of a higher-quality salmon perhaps?) This was disappointing. Also the cucumber is sliced whole, with full circles, and they are just too big for a mouthful - they should be sliced in half at the very least.
Feb 21, 2025 · Emily SThe man who prepared our bowls is SO sweet and funny. He looked happy and immediately explained how to order what we would want. The bowls are huge and for $15 you get a lot of protein on your plate. I saved a lot of it for the next day and I came hungry so I think it’s a good deal. Everything tasted fresh too. They also have boba and smoothies based on their menu we saw. Seating is inside as well!
Oct 14, 2024 · Sonia NinanI’ve been to different locations of the poke bar (Athens, east Atlanta, and Atlantic station ) Friday was my first time to the Duluth location we walked in 15 minutes before closing which was our bad, but the stuff being put up wasn’t what was disappointing bc the man working was happy to pull out things & serve us. This was my friends first time we both ended up throwing our bowls straight in the trash after trying - when normally I finish my bowl. The salmon which was my only protein was not sushi grade by looks , taste or smell. The whole bowl had a sour taste and was completely gross. I’m use to go to the other locations and getting sushi trade cubes of juicy amazing salmon and this was not the same product at all.
May 12, 2025 · lori braddyPlease give Anthony a raise, he was handling multiple customers by himself, and he did a pretty great job with the service. The food is pretty good also. We came in at 8:17 p.m. on May 16th, 2025. Also, Loved the miso soup as well.
May 17, 2025 · Jackie ChenNot easy to get into because it is off a busy street. It meets what I expected of it. I liked my bowl and that matcha milk tea was great! The employees were very kind and got our food to us quickly. The aesthetic is a typical feel. Some bright color but nothing fancy. Felt more like just a set up for people to come in. Even the seating did not feel too welcoming. Maybe they just set up recently? I say that because there were boxes piled up at the entrance. There is a coziness to the place, which I appreciated.A place I see myself returning to because the food was good enough. Now, is it worth the price? 😬 That is up to you.
