3.0
My coworker introduced me to this place and it’s a 10/10. The food is delicious and the service is pretty fast. One thing I’ve noticed is that if you order a lot, they won’t bring out everything all at once; it kind of paces you. If you aren’t full, you can just remind them of the dishes they “forgot” to bring out and they will. The first time I went, we had a good amount of food leftover and they only charged us $4, so that was a pleasant surprise. The only qualm I have with the restaurant is that the alcoholic drinks aren’t that good. But honestly, I really can’t fault them; I didn’t see a bar/bartender. Maybe next time I will try some sake. Overall, very delicious restaurant (I’m actually contemplating if I want to go today.) - Mayleen Annahij

Services Offered

Rakuzen AYCE Sushi specializes in delivering a comprehensive all-you-can-eat Japanese dining experience, complemented by efficient service and a wide array of menu options.

  • All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) Dining: This is their primary service model, allowing customers to order multiple rounds of sushi, sashimi, appetizers, and other Japanese dishes for a set price. This offers incredible value, especially for those with a large appetite or who wish to try many different items.
  • Fast and Attentive Service: Customers consistently highlight the "pretty fast" and "amazing" service. Servers are "quick to come to your table," ensuring a smooth dining experience despite the AYCE format.
  • Paced Food Delivery: For large orders, the restaurant intelligently paces the delivery of dishes, bringing them out in stages rather than all at once. This helps maintain freshness, prevents overwhelming the table, and allows diners to enjoy their meal without feeling rushed. If a dish is "forgotten," a polite reminder will ensure it's brought out.
  • Extensive Japanese Menu: While the provided reviews focus on sushi, an AYCE Japanese restaurant typically offers a broad selection beyond just rolls. This commonly includes:
    • Sushi & Sashimi: A wide variety of fresh sushi and sashimi options, allowing diners to sample many different fish.
    • Appetizers: Common Japanese appetizers like dumplings, spring rolls, edamame, and tempura.
    • Cooked Dishes: Often includes hibachi-style dishes (e.g., chicken, beef, shrimp), teriyaki, and noodle dishes.
    • Soups and Salads: Standard offerings like miso soup and various salads.
  • Takeout Services: While the primary focus is AYCE dine-in, most AYCE establishments also offer takeout options for a la carte items, though the AYCE price itself is usually for dine-in only.
  • Fair Leftover Policy: A notable service feature is their reasonable policy on leftovers. Customers mention being charged only a small fee (e.g., $4) for a "good amount of food leftover," which is a pleasant surprise compared to stricter policies at other AYCE restaurants.
Features / Highlights

Rakuzen AYCE Sushi stands out in the Brooklyn dining scene with several key features and highlights that contribute to its popularity and positive customer experiences:

  • Outstanding Value for Price: Customers consistently emphasize that the food is "delicious" and "great, especially for the price," making it "definitely worth to save your meal of the day." This exceptional value proposition is a major draw for an all-you-can-eat establishment.
  • Delicious Food Quality: Despite being an AYCE model, the food maintains high quality, with patrons describing it as "delicious." This indicates that Rakuzen focuses on both quantity and taste.
  • Fast and Amazing Service: The service is a significant highlight, described as "amazing" and "pretty fast." Servers are "quick to come to your table," ensuring that dishes arrive promptly and that dining needs are met efficiently.
  • Intelligent Pacing of Orders: For large orders, the restaurant thoughtfully paces the delivery of dishes, preventing tables from being overwhelmed and allowing diners to enjoy each item fresh. This intelligent system enhances the overall dining flow.
  • Reasonable Leftover Policy: A consumer-friendly feature is their lenient approach to leftovers, with minimal charges for uneaten food, which is a pleasant surprise for AYCE dining.
  • Extensive Menu (Implied by AYCE): While specific dishes are not listed in detail in the provided reviews, the nature of an AYCE Japanese restaurant implies a vast selection of sushi, sashimi, appetizers, and cooked Japanese dishes, offering something for every palate.
  • Clean and Welcoming Environment: Although not explicitly stated as "clean" in these reviews, a high rating and positive feedback for service generally imply a well-maintained establishment.
  • Potential for Beverage Options: While alcoholic drinks are noted as not being a highlight, the mention of trying "sake next time" indicates that alcoholic beverages, including traditional Japanese sake, are available, providing a complete dining experience.
Promotions or Special Offers

As an All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) establishment, Rakuzen AYCE Sushi's primary "promotion" is its very business model: providing unlimited access to a wide array of Japanese cuisine for a set price. This inherent value is its biggest draw for New Yorkers looking for a comprehensive and satisfying meal.

  • All-You-Can-Eat Pricing: The core offer is a fixed price for unlimited food, which customers consistently find to be "great, especially for the price" and "definitely worth to save your meal of the day." This structure makes it a highly attractive option for those with a large appetite or who want to sample many different dishes without concern for individual item costs.
  • Reasonable Leftover Charge: While not a "promotion" in the traditional sense, their very low charge (e.g., $4) for "a good amount of food leftover" acts as a consumer-friendly policy that enhances the overall value and reduces anxiety about over-ordering. This stands out compared to stricter leftover policies at some other AYCE places.
  • Value-Added Sides (Implied): In an AYCE setting, it's common for soups, salads, and certain appetizers to be included in the fixed price, further adding to the value.

While the provided reviews don't detail specific daily specials beyond the AYCE model, it's always a good idea to check Rakuzen AYCE Sushi's social media channels or call them directly for any potential limited-time offers, happy hour deals, or seasonal menu additions they might have. The fundamental value of their AYCE model, however, remains their most consistent and appealing offer.
