---Ramen DANBO Park Slope focuses on delivering an authentic and personalized ramen experience. Here's what you can expect:
- Dine-in Experience: Enjoy a cozy and chill vibe during dinner, with seating available for a comfortable meal. Despite being a busy spot, especially on weekends, customers have noted being seated quickly. The seating capacity is around twenty people.
- Customizable Ramen Bowls: This is a major highlight. Much like the famous Ichiran style, you have the freedom to customize your ramen bowl. You can select your preferred noodle firmness (from very firm to very soft), broth thickness (light, standard, strong), broth richness (none, light, standard, rich, extra rich), and the amount of Karadare (spicy sauce) from none to a lot. This ensures every bowl is tailored to your exact liking.
- Signature Tonkotsu Ramen: Their Tonkotsu ramen is highly praised for its "very flavorful broth," which forms the foundation of their signature dishes. They also offer Shio, Miso, and Negi-Goma ramen, as well as seasonal specials like Curry Ramen and Tomato Ramen.
- Generous Portions: Especially noted for their generous portions of toppings, particularly the Chashu pork. You can opt for a "whopping SIX slices" of Chashu (braised pork belly) in your bowl, a significant advantage over other ramen spots that might offer just a single piece for the same price. Two-piece options are also available for a lesser price, still providing a generous amount.
- Appetizers and Sides: Complement your ramen with delicious side dishes. Their pan-fried dumplings (Gyoza) are a popular choice, described as "a nice snack" providing a blend of "chewy and crispy bites." Other options include Chashu Pork Donburi and White Rice. Vegan Gyoza and Vegan Soy Chashu Donburi are also available.
- Lunch Set Specials: They offer delightful lunch set specials that combine Gyoza (3 pcs) with 2 half toppings, a soft drink or tea, or a daily mini donburi, providing excellent value for a midday meal.
- Takeout Service: While not explicitly detailed in reviews for this location, Ramen DANBO generally offers convenient takeout options, especially for a quick bite, making it suitable for those on the go.

Ramen DANBO Park Slope Reviews
Used to always stop here for lunch when I was working in Park Slope. I love the Tonkotsu here; they serve it with a very flavorful broth, and the fact that we can customize our bowls (like Ichiran style) is the best part because I prefer ramen with Al dente noodles (shiko shiko). Plus, I like my ramen a little spicy. The vibe was chill during dinner, yet cozy, and we were seated right away at 7 p.m. on Sunday, and that was impressive because they are always busy on the weekend. The service is good enough for a busy spot.
Mar 01, 2025 · Jazz ChomboonLet’s start with the good: Portions were great, especially for the price point. You have the option to get a whopping SIX slices in your bowl. I’ve paid the same in other ramen places and gotten a measly single piece. If you’re not feeling that hungry, you can pay less for two pieces - which is still generous. Along with that, the pan-fried dumplings were a nice snack on the side providing a blend of chewy and crispy bites to enjoy. Unfortunately, the service was a bit disappointing - they would come over quickly to see if we were ready to order, and then hurry off and disappear for a while. It didn’t feel like there were very many opportunities to ask questions. On top of that, they neglected to come around afterwards to check on us or refill our waters. I know the place gets extremely crowded, but we weren’t there for too long anyways. All in all, come for the quick bite of good value, but don’t expect to get too comfortable here.
Mar 18, 2025 · Ray LowPersonally, I really liked the ramen and the service was fast.We tried the classic ramen with a few additions and a rice that was spicy but very flavorful.I ordered the iced tea genmaicha but it was plain and had an unpleasant taste, in the end I mixed it with ginger ale and it greatly improved the flavor and texture. The space is very small, just to go eat something specific and leave. It wasn't a bad experience but there are places where I can enjoy the menu and its options more.
Jan 08, 2025 · Angela F.It's an expensive fast food joint. The ramen is decent but the portions are small and the price is high at $26 a bowl (basic with egg, seaweed, and pickles). That wouldn't be so bad if the service was tolerable but its rude and rushed. You can expect them to pounce and encourage you to leave immediately by slapping the card reader down as you finish your last spoon full, defaulted to 25% tip of course.
Jan 21, 2025 · S TSuch a cute modern ramen bar with additional tables if you have a large group. The lunch special is a really good value where you can mix and match two add ons to the ramen. Highly recommend you get the donburi and gyoza! The ramen is delicious and very flavorful with customization options. Service is very fast and polite. Would definitely recommend this place for a good bowl of Fukuoka ramen.
