While specific food truck schedules may vary, this heritage speaks to their flexibility in serving the community.
- Online Ordering & Delivery: To enhance convenience, Ramen Station is available through popular third-party delivery platforms like Postmates. Ramen Station is celebrated for several key features and highlights that contribute to its strong reputation among Connecticut locals:
- Authentic and Flavorful Ramen Broth: This is arguably the biggest highlight. Customers consistently rave about the "incredibly thick and flavorful" broths, particularly their Tonkotsu Ramen, which embodies a velvety, slow-simmered pork bone broth rich in calcium and umami. They also offer Miso, Shoyu, and Spicy varieties, including a Veggie Shoyu Ramen with mountain vegetables.
- Perfectly Cooked Noodles: Reviewers praise the noodles for retaining a "nice chewiness," indicating careful preparation that ensures the ideal texture in every bowl.
- Delicious Chicken Teriyaki: Beyond ramen, their Chicken Teriyaki receives high praise, described as "incredible" with an "amazing" sauce that achieves the perfect balance of sweet and salty. This makes it a great option for those who might prefer a non-ramen dish.
- Traditional Ramen Add-ons: Each ramen bowl typically comes with traditional toppings such as half-boiled egg (Ajitsuke Tamago), tender braised chashu pork, narutomaki (fish cake), wood ear mushrooms, and scallions, enhancing the authentic experience.
- Reasonable Pricing: Customers consistently highlight the excellent value, with ramen bowls priced around $13-$16.99 and side dishes at $5-$7, making high-quality Japanese food accessible.
- Quick and Friendly Service: The staff is noted for being "very quick and very friendly," ensuring efficient order processing and a welcoming atmosphere.
- Thoughtful Packaging: For takeout orders, the "very nice and durable" packaging is appreciated, helping to maintain the quality of the food during transit.
- Vegetarian Accommodation: The restaurant explicitly states its ability to accommodate vegetarian diets, offering specific vegetarian ramen and other veggie-friendly options.
- Diverse Menu Beyond Ramen: In addition to various ramen types, the menu includes popular Japanese appetizers like Tako Yaki, Kara-age (Fried Chicken), Gyoza (Pan Fried Pork Dumplings), Spring Rolls, Edamame, and Japanese Curry Rice dishes with different protein options.
While Ramen Station's primary allure lies in its consistently reasonable pricing for high-quality, authentic Japanese food, they maintain an excellent value proposition, particularly for their ramen. Their base prices for a full bowl of ramen (around $13-$17) are often considered a great deal compared to other ramen establishments in the region, especially given the richness of their broth and inclusion of traditional toppings.
It's always recommended for Connecticut diners to check their official online ordering platforms (like Postmates) for any current lunch specials, combo deals, or limited-time offerings. Given their background as a food truck and their innovative approach, they may occasionally introduce new items or special deals that are communicated through their online presence or direct interaction with customers. The inherent affordability of their core menu items, however, already acts as a significant ongoing "special offer" for patrons.

Ramen Station Reviews
INCREDIBLE Chicken Teriyaki!! They have ramen, appetizers, and chicken entrees. The teriyaki sauce was amazing - honestly the perfect combination and wasn’t too sweet or too salty. Service was very quick and very friendly! Packaging was also very nice and durable which is greatly appreciated!! We went to their food truck at Caius brewery which us also amazing, would come back in a heartbeat for their chicken teriyaki!! They also have a note saying they can accommodate vegetarian which is also greatly appreciated! 10 stars
Jul 30, 2023 · Nina TisoThis food truck simply does not get the attention that it deserves. It's astounding that people still decide to go to Yale's Ramen at Becton (which, frankly, is just awful) instead of here. The broth here is incredibly thick and flavorful, and the noodles retain nice chewiness. They provide all of the traditional ramen add-ons (half-boiled egg, two pieces of chashu, narutomaki, wood ear mushrooms, and scallions). Their prices are also very reasonable as well (13$ for ramen, 5-6$ for side dishes). Highly recommend any student/passerby to give it a chance; you will not be disappointed.
