Ramen Tatsunoya Reviews
Ramen Tatsunoya is a Top Notch ramen Restaurant. They nail the Four main pillars of ramen quality - Noodle quality, Marinated Egg, Broth, and Protein. The noodles are great, egg is exactly what you expect from a top Ramen restaurant, broth is perfectly balanced with plenty of flavor, and the protein was superb. On my next visit I would go light on the green onion since the broth is so flavorful as it is. I would highly recommend checking out Ramen Tatsunoya and I most definitely will be back.Bonus they are open late!
April 14 · andi nicponIf you find yourself along Colorado Boulevard in Old Town Pasadena and hunger sets in, I suggest making a quick turn on to Fair Oaks Avenue and searching for Ramen Tatsunoya. You’ll know you’ve arrived when you see a striking tree centerpiece inside the restaurant. We visited for a later dinner on a Saturday evening an hour before they closed at 10pm and the restaurant was at full capacity. Thankfully we didn’t have to wait long and were seated quickly by their friendly staff. We started with the Crispy Spicy Chashu Wraps and the Housemade Gyoza. Both appetizers/side dishes really hit the spot. In fact, I enjoyed them more than I did the Spicy Miso Tonkotsu Ramen. The ramen broth was flavorful but a bit too rich for my liking and not spicy enough. It also would’ve been nice to have the option to customize the noodle set-up. I’ve had better ramen at a few other spots, but I still recommend Tatsunoya as a great comfort spot for ramen!
March 29 · Alan SungAlways saw the line outside Tatsunoya so finally got the opportunity to try it. Overall the food is decent but we personally were not blown away. Surprised the egg wasn’t even cut in half and never experienced having lettuce put into ramen.
April 06 · wook kimRamen Tatsunoya is hands down one of the best ramen spots around. The broth is rich and full of flavor without being too heavy, and the chashu pork is perfectly tender with a nice seared edge. The noodles have a great bite, and the toppings green onions, bean sprouts, wood ear mushrooms, and a soft-boiled egg really ties everything together. The service is quick and friendly, but expect a wait because this place is popular. Totally worth it.
February 25 · Alexander BugarinI was like why is the gyoza more expensive than the chashu bowl but the chashu bowl’s actually pretty small and the gyoza was realllyuyyu good😋😋😋😋😋😋omg the crisp on the outside…still thinking about itRamen broth is also amazinggg!!!! Soooo flavorful but it definitely is really heavy!!! I got extra chashu on my ramen and the chashu is sooo thick and flavorful and so good…but this was my first meal of the day and it was really heavy on my system so I left like a 1/3 ish of the broth I think…so just know it’s on the heavier side even for ramenReally really good though and workers were super nice😇 best tonkotsu ramen I’ve ever had
